First choose a character from your story you want to create a modal sheet for

Than choose what aspect of that you are going to show at least two additional views of

Options for

Form (front side back etc)

Emotional range

Different gestural poses

Any transformation

First Sketch your ideaEither use photoshop and collage multiple views or you can draw.

Adjust the color of your character. Your colors must MATCH or at least compliment your environment . I made the two of the views black and white and then I enhanced the primary bear.

I have alot of blues so I used Color balance to add blues into my bears brown shadows.

Bring your sketch to illustratorUsing the pen tool or the brush tool create a line drawing for all of the views

Next move on to your rendering stage.. Either on photoshop or illustrator

Consider the look of your enviorment design… what will match.

In photoshop paste in you line layer and paint on a layer below. You painting must have different colors and tones

0r in illustrator just add new layers under the line layers. Render the character by overlapping different shapes of colors.
