‘Healthy Body, Healthy Mind!’ MESP through Fitness, Tennis & Cycling Health and Wellbeing This physically demanding course will develop co-ordination, fitness and road cycling skills. You will develop these skills in a range of different outdoor settings such as the Pump Track, Local Cycle Trails and Tennis Courts. During the fitness block, you will learn about different methods of training and how these can be used to develop specific aspects of fitness. Once this knowledge has been developed, you will create your own training programme. Skills Focus Learning Intentions Success Criteria I will: increase my level of physical fitness and co- ordination. develop my planning, organisation and presentation skills. gain an understanding of how to promote and ensure safety during physical activity. learn how to cycle safely on road. learn how to cycle off road safely. I can: confidently and safely participate in a range of different sports and exercise methods. effectively deliver physical activity sessions that meet the needs of a specific group. demonstrate clear communication, leadership and time management skills through safely delivering a physical activity session. explain the short and long term effects exercise has on the body. successfully demonstrate that I can navigate different obstacles and use the appropriate skills when cycling on/off road.
