Do you have a passion for fashion? Could you be the next Ralph Lauren? MESP through Junk Kouture Expressive Arts You will work in small teams to create striking couture designs and impressive works of wearable art from everyday junk. You will work with students from Forth Valley College on experimental hair and theatrical makeup. You will submit their designs to the Junk Kouture Competition and have the opportunity to compete against a large number of schools across Scotland. Skills Focus Learning Intentions Success Criteria I will: ● work in small teams and experiment with a wide variety of recycled materials looking specifically at fabric manipulation, construction and durability. ● make mock up design ideas and present to my peers. ● design and create a fashion garment using recycled materials including head and footwear. ● choreograph moves to a selected soundtrack to use in the grand final. ● work with FVC to develop skills in Hair and Theatrical make-up. I can: ● discuss my ideas, choice of materials and techniques and develop presentation skills by working with peers to create a visual presentation. ● manipulate and construct a wide variety of materials in order to create wearable garments. ● select a soundtrack which fits the theme of my garment and choreograph moves in time with the music. ● apply theatrical makeup and experiment with hair styles in keeping with my chosen theme.
