Weekday program offering a core foundation of general management courses, career-focused specializations, and immersion learning opportunities. Program features a seven-week modular calendar, summer internship, and support from the Leadership Development Program (LDP) and Career Management Center (CMC).

Specialization within the weekday MBA program that is the result of a partnership between a nationally ranked business school and a top academic medial center both located in Nashville, the capital city for established and entrepreneurial health care companies and experts. This program offers unique immersion learning opportunities.

Features a “lockstep” concentrated curriculum with a special focus on advanced financial frameworks, strategic vision and leadership skills.

Shares the year one curriculum and schedule with the Executive MBA cohort, then diverges in year two to form a traveling cohort comprised of students from 4 international business schools. Attend four 10-day immersions in Brazil, Cananda, Mexico and the U.S. instead of attending classes on alternating Saturdays.

All programs earn the Vanderbilt MBA degree.

Year One: “Lockstep” curriculum offers a unified experience for the group and emphasizes working in cross-functional teams, as well as skills and perspectives needed by those who aspire to senior leadership roles. Year Two: The traditional track features a curriculum that rounds out the core management foundations with a special focus on advanced finance, entrepreneurship and strategy. It also includes a business strategy sequence and Capstone Project. The Americas track features the international immersion experiences including an international strategy project with a cross-equator cohort school.

Features an academic calendar based on a modular system of intensive courses, each seven weeks in length. Two “mods” equal one semester. There are opportunities for immersion courses, trips between mods, and a paid internship between year one and year two. Year One: Core curriculum plus specialization and at least one concentration area. Year Two: Specialization and concentration focused courses. Career Specializations: Brand Management, Corporate Finance, Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) and Investment Management. Industry Specialization: Health Care. Concentrations: Accounting, Finance, General Management, HOP, Marketing, Operations, Strategy. Emphases: Entrepreneurship, International Studies, Real Estate.

Program Format

From August to May, classes offered Monday through Thursday; Fridays reserved for group study, career search or other events.

Year Two: An abbreviated week-in-residence takes place at the beginning of fall semester. Classes continue to meet every other Saturday, with a break between fall and spring semesters. A Capstone Strategy Project spans the second year, and the experience culminates in a one-week international residency prior to graduation.

Year Two: Students from Brazil, Canada, Mexico and the U.S. form a traveling cohort and meet once per quarter for 10-day academic, business and cultural immersions in each of the four countries. In-country immersions are delivered by faculty at each of the four “Americas Alliance” schools. Cross-border teams complete a Capstone Strategy Project that spans the entire year.
