Congratulations I'd like to congratulate Justin Laslo and Dan Kelly for graduating from the Seven Generations Environmental Services training program and for being selected as part of the service team. I, and your whole family (I suppose that you remember that there are a lot of us) are very proud of you for completing the program and doing so well that you've been selected to now put your knowledge, skills and abilities to work. Your efforts will benefit not only us today but the generations to follow. I'd also like to acknowledge and thank the program sponsors and partners, BC Hydro, the Royal Bank of Canada, the Westland Resources Group, Van-couver Island University and the Sto:lo Development Corporation for having the foresight and commitment to make such an important program become a reality. Thank you for giving our young people a chance to prove themselves. I have no doubt that such a great program and the capable professionals that you've hired to conduct the work will be of great benefit to our environment and to their lives. All the Best to All for a Job Well Done!! Your Uncle T'esot'sen (Patrick Kelly)

Congratulations to Newlyweds Joshua Kelly and Rania Elkhatib Married on September 3, 2011

Seven Generaons Environmental Services

SevenGenerationsEnvironmentalServicesLtd is structured to initially provide environmental moni-

toring services to both public and private customers throughout British Columbia. As the Company

grows the range of complimentary environmental services such as site restoration services will expand

with the growing market needs. The Company is equally owned by six Sto:lo First Nations communities.

Seven Generations Environmental Services Ltd will be managed based upon the principle of recruiting

the very best to become participants in the Company and providing the best training and education pos-

sible for our employees. Ongoing training, education and development of our staff, will be a core founda-

tion of the Company.

The Company's vision is to become one of the leading Aboriginal owned providers of environmental

monitoring and related services in British Columbia, where the sustainability principles of the Company,

are shared with our clients and partners.

It is with great pleasure that our community of Leq’a:mel was able to offer this type of training to our

young community members. As we build on the agreement with BC Hydro and the Interior to Lower

Mainland transmission line project, we never forget the values we share as 4irst nations. That we are

the stewards of the land, that we will ensure through participation in projects that we will hold individ-

uals and companies accountable for caring for our land the right way. This company is just one step in

ensuring that we will be a part of caring for the land.

I had the opportunity to attend a luncheon with the trainees at the beginning of this process and they all

had very good qualities, upstanding values and were genuine in their responses as to what this training

meant to them, to us and to the communities that could utilize their services and expertise. I also at-

tended the recent graduation of these same trainees and I am proud to say that of the 18 that 3 of these

individuals were from our community and two of these were actually chosen as the 4irst 12 to be hired

by Seven Generations to be a part of the ILM Project work. To all of the graduates: Dan Kelly, Justin

Laslo, Samantha Fontaine, Tana Mussell, Barry Schmitz, Dayton Bardos, Sheridan Conlin, Eli Gosselin,

Delaine Howden, Tracy Martyn, Luke Pike, Ashley Watson, Russ Francis, William Bailey, Maria Camp-

bell, Gracie Henry, Robert Peters, and David Sepass I want to wish you much success and I hope that you

will 4ind that this training is just the beginning for you. You are the young leaders in our community

and if this is any indication to what we have to look forward to, then we are doing our jobs well.

On behalf of Leq’a:mel First Nation, to those 12 who have been offered employment contracts, welcome

aboard.
