•Kimani Maruge was born in Kenya in 1920. He was the oldest of seven brothers in his family. Hisfamily was very poor. •Kimani couldn’t study, he worked with his father in the farm and he was cowherd for his little brothers studied in the school.

•He wants to study to become to a vet and cure his animals. •He started go to free KapkenduiywaSchool when he was eighty-four years old. Their bestfriends were Joseph and Charles.• He was very old because he had a health life: he ate herbs, roots and leaves and mixed with honey.

Lost eight their ten sons because he was poor. In 2005 he traveled to the United Nations in USA for speak about the free education.

In Kenya there are many tribes. The most important tribe are Masais.Masais are verygood soldiers .

The best sport of Kenya is athletics. Kenyans have won in the marathons and racings.Also they won in boxing.

In 2007 the violence spread to Kenya. Kimani moved to a this camp 4Km from his school, but he continued going.

His story has been filmed in 2010 in the British film called ``The First Grader´´directed by Justin Chadwick, starring Naomie Harris, Oliver Litondo, and Tony Kgoroge.

He died in Nairobi on August 14, 2009, from cancer of stomach, when he was about 90 years old.
