Career Statement: A highly motivated and hardworking individual with experience in Information
technology. I have been working as a Service Desk Technician over the years and I have new
knowledge and experience with the systems and operations within the Construction, Banking, and
Property industry. I have Diploma in Networking Management and achieving admirable grades.
While working part time, for Kentz Engineers and Constructors as a Junior IT technician as a desktop

WORK EXPERIENCE
Kentz Engineers 2009- 2012 Part Time and Full Time (Contract)
At Kentz Engineers and Constructors I started as Junior IT technician where I learned the
fundamental of computing from installing desktops and laptops, including their operating systems
and various installing of applications and configuring programs. Identifying computer and operating
issues and establishing a resolution for them. I also assembled and repaired desktops machines that
were broken. I acquired my hard ware skill by opening old components and investigating the internal
parts of machines. Within the construction field. I worked at the Midrand office and a short while in
Secunda on the Sasol station Kentz project within IT.
U.P Information Technologies (UPIT) 2013-2014 Part Time (Temp)
As a desktop support technician, through the ticket generating system we had each technician was
assigned a ticket to resolve IT related issues that our clients encountered. Depending on the issue,
we would assist them remotely or physical travel to their location to resolve the issue. I acquire
some basic networking skill when we conducted a network project at their establishments. It was a
small IT company that provided IT and networking services.
Sasfin Bank 1st July 2015 to the 31st January 2016 (Contract)
At Sasfin Bank I acquired new and essential skills as a service desk technician within the banking
industry. I worked quite often with the Heat call logging system, one we received calls from the auto
ticket generator through email. Or logging the call manually when we receive telephonic
communication from the client. I identify the issue, troubleshoot then resolve it and finally close the
call. It is vitally important to provide updates on a call still pending. If the call is for a specialized
technician or group, such as developers, or infrastructure an assignment is created for them to
resolve. Logging change requests in which IT would develop and configure IT systems and
networking configurations for business. I have acquired the knowledge on how the rudimentary
aspects of Microsoft exchange, increasing storage quotes. Microsoft Active Directory, resetting of
password and unlocking accounts. Checking security groups, user accounts and making use of
remote desktop assistance to resolve issues that occurred. When it came to desktop support, we
used a windows image deployment system to set up computer machines. I acquired further skills in
computer machine setups and software configurations.
CubedRoot1 (Redefine Properties)
1st of February to the 31th of August 2016.
I am currently employed for CubedRoot1 working at Redefine Properties as a Service desk
technician, my responsibilities remain the same, such as setting up laptops and desktops for users
and providing service desk support. The only difference is that I conduct more active directory work,
be creating users, adding permissions to security groups and creating email accounts in exchange. As
well as checking quarantine mails and releasing them if safe to do so using Fortimail. Entire
CubeRoot1 contract to Redefine ends on the 31st of August 2016 all of us were Retrenched.
Currently looking for new employment.
