Keynote Address
End of Term
We have had an excellent first term with our preps having a great start to the school year. I would like to thank everyone for a fantastic start to the year. Please have a great break with your families and take special care when traveling short or long distances and hope to see you all back in Term 2 with your smiling faces ready for another fun and eventful term. Happy Holidays
Harmony Day
Lynbrook Primary School will be holding our annual Harmony Day Celebrations on Friday 27th March with all children asked to wear clothes representing their cultural background or Orange which is the official colour of Harmony Day. The day will be jammed packed with activities and an assembly starting at 11.30-12.30pm with all parents/ guardians invited to attend.
Early Dismissal
School will finish at 2.30pm on Friday 27th March due to the end of term.
“No Smoking” around Schools
From 13 April 2015, smoking will be banned within four metres of an entrance to all primary and secondary schools in Victoria, and within the school grounds, under an amendment to the Tobacco Act 1987.
While smoking was banned on the grounds of all Victorian Government schools by the Minister for Education in 2009 via a Ministerial Ban Order, the new bans are enshrined in legislation and will also apply to Catholic and independent schools in Victoria, thereby ensuring a consistent approach across the government and non-government sectors.
As a legislative requirement Lynbrook Primary School will be installing suitable ‘No smoking’ signs at all entrances to the school premises
