On Saturday, July 21st, Oswego Senior Center held our fi rst Pig Fest. While hoping to do an out-side event with good food and mu-sic, the hot weather kept everyone indoors. We want to thank every-one who supported and attended our fundraiser and especially the folks who helped with its prepara-tion; Anne Vickery with assistance in ordering the guest of honor ( the pig); our roaster in charge, Chef Alex Wallace and of course, Mr. Ele-no Silva of the Riverview Diner for their donation of broasted chicken, rice pilaf, cole slaw, sweet potato casserole, cream pies and cakes.

Special thanks to our sponsors, who gave donations for ra� es, etc.: Cecelia Sanders, Sunnymere Assist-ed Living, Bickford Senior Living, Theresa Appaceller, Leona Moeller, Barbara Weber and Law Elder Law.

Our sincere thanks to the volun-teers who assisted at the all day grill: Phil Siedlecki, Rick Anish, Elijah Page and Bob Wyngard; to the pork pullers, Veronica Ko-chetta, Judy Dennison, Marty Van Etten, Bob and Alex, the overseers.

Billie Mateer and her wonder-ful volunteers who helped to serve and clean up: Barbara Chism, Scott Kochetta, Marge Traughber, Peter Garcia, Marilyn Ben-nish, Zach Champine, Yvonne Moore and Claudia Wyngard.

The personnel that helped to set up, tear down and coordinate the event: Francis & Bina Verde, Sue Moga, Viv-ian Christiano, Jack & Carol Glass-ford, Barb Hanson, Brandon Kayer, Sharon Hill and Sandy Pastore.
