I am so glad you are here!

If this is your first event with Rock Creek Students, I hope it is the best experience of your life and the beginning of you plugged in!

I love this week because it is so laid back. It is designed to give you an experience you will never forget.

There is no better place for you to have an encounter with God! If you will take advantage of the flexible schedule, break from school, quietness away from cell phones, and the peace of the ocean, God will teach you something.

However, for Him to teach you something you must be receptive and have an open heart. Use the online 21 day journey to get yourself ready!

Enjoy the worship, time alone with God, and the teaching sessions. Take good notes and record what you learn. Take a nap, walk on the beach, and fellowship with friends, but most of all sit at the feet of the father to be restored, refreshed, and refocused.

This week on the beach is a week that God has planned out for us before the beginning of time. How awesome it is that He has allowed us to be together as a student ministry in such a beautiful setting. If you will respect authority, follow the few basic rules and choose to honor God in every way this week, you will have a great week! Here are a few helpful hints.

-Be on time to meals and sessions (they are not optional)-Do not leave your room after curfew -Never go into the water alone. No night swimming. Do not walk the beach as a couple or on a double date.-no piercings-no tattoos (fake or real)-wear sunscreen always-wear a t-shirt or cover-up to meals-drink lots of water-no Guys is Girls Doorms-no pushing people in the pool-no Drugs, Alchohol, Tobacco-no pranks

WORSHIP GUIDEWe are all very much looking forward to all of the fun things that we have going on at Kairos this year, but we know that this time is for more than just hanging out on the beach with your friends. We want to make sure and take full advantage of the times when we are coming together to learn about and worship the Lord.

Because you have been given a significant amount of free time at Kairos this year, we ask that when you enter the scheduled evening sessions that it be in an attitude of excitement for worship. Please be focused and come ready to learn and grow in your relationship with God.

We know that lives will be changed, and we know that God is going to move in a powerful way, so we want everyone to get as much out of our time together as possible!

Don’t leave worship the same as you entered. Get everything that you can out of it. Give everything that you have to the only one who is worthy. Be a REVOLUTION!

LIFE GROUP TIMEHow will you revolutionize the way that you love? How will you love in a way in which the world will see and know that you are sold out for God? Regardless of others’ opinions, comments and reactions, areyouwillingtorevolutionizeyourlifeandthelivesofthosearoundyouby“goingleft”whenitcomesto the way that you love?Are you willing to sacrifice your reputation at school or at work or even in your home for the sake of following God unashamed? I dare you to live a life that is sold out, extreme and revolutionary in how you live your life and love your God.This week, we are going to discuss how to revolutionize your love in the following ways…

DAY ONEHow do you RECEIVE His love? 1 John 4:9-10,15-16a, Titus 3:4-7First, and most importantly, you must learn to accept and receive the love that the Lord has for you. Basically, His love comes in the form of our gift of salvation. Allowing Him to love you means full surrender, trust, and vulnerability. His love will CHANGE you.Let Him love you. It’s as simple as that. It doesn’t have to be difficult or complicated. Just allow Him to pour on you the love that He has for you. Soak it up…His grace, His faithfulness, drown yourself in it. Understand that no matter what you have done or will do, His love covers a multitude of sins, and He will never stop loving you. Letting down your guard and allowing God to love you is a choice that you have to make.It takes courage to be vulnerable, but once you do that, His love will overtake you like a flood. You will realize just how much He loves you and how His love alone can change your life. Allowing God to love you and trusting that He will not fail you will unlock the power in your relationship with the Lord. You cannot love someone fully unless you allow them to love you fully. You cannot appreciate someone’s love for you unless you accept it fully.

Day One Discussion QuestionsWhat does it mean to you to let the Lord love you? How do you receive His love? Write down some examples of how God loves you.

What is the most difficult part about receiving God’s love? Why is it hard for us to allow God to love us?

How do you think the love of God can change you? How are you going to allow the love of God to change you today?

DAY TWO How do you RESP ed us, the least we can do is give all that we have back to Him. Through our time spent before the Lord, we express our love to Him. We like to spend time with those we love, so how much more time should we be spending with the Lord who is more deserving of our time and energy and efforts than anyone else on the planet.Our love for Him is lived out through our devotion, our prayer, and our worship. When it comes to those things, we need to completely spend ourselves. Read Luke 7:36-50.Mary Magdalene was surrounded by those who knew her past, they knew her shame and her faults, but in that moment, she did not care what they thought of her worship. Like Mary Magdalene, who gave of herself to wash Jesus’ feet with her tears, and anointed Him with her most expensive perfume, we are called to worship Him unashamed, unhindered, unrestrained, carefree, distraction-free. Mary Magdalene understood the love that was given to her, and therefore, she also understood what her response should be. She realized what He was worth to her. What is He worth to you? Your love for God will FREE you. Our worship to God is more than just singing. It is an attitude, a mindset, a lifestyle. It is vital for life. Although we may never achieve it, we should attempt to love God with the same passion with which He loves us. Our love for God should be extravagant, extreme, unashamed, and we should spend ourselves completely to express our love to Him, seeking Him, wanting to be like Him, wanting to spend time with Him, simply sitting at His feet.

“Like oil upon Your feet, like wine for You to drink, like water from my soul, I pour my love on You. If praise was like perfume, I’d lavish mine on You till every drop is gone, I’ll pour my love on You.”

DAY THREEHow do you REFLECT His love? 1 John 4:11-12, 16b-21, Ephesians 5:1-2In addition to our time spent with the Lord, another form of worship is how you live out your life and live out His love. What does your everyday life look like? In word, in deed, in lifestyle, in attitude, in relationships, are you living how the Word tells you to live? Are you living a life that is reflective of how Jesus would live? Allow His love to work THROUGH you to change the world. We are called to love others as He loves us. Not only will our love for others be an example of His love, but it will also be one aspect of our worship to Him. As we function under His influence and live out the love that He so freely gave us, lives will be changed (including your own), and God will be glorified.As a Christian, your life is under the microscope. People are looking for you to mess up and for you to not be the picture perfect example. The enemy will do what he can to tempt you and makeyouslipup.Areyouwillingto“goleft”inthewayyoulive?Areyouwillingtolivealifesold out for God? Even if your friends and family are doing the exact opposite, are you willing to live a life unashamed of the gospel of Christ? Are you willing to allow Him to live through You?

How can you become more like Christ? How can your life be more of a reflection of the Lord’s? Whataresomewaysthatyoucan“goleft”inyourlife?

What are some challenges you face when it comes to living like Christ? Do you have certain lifestyle habits or maybe even some personality traits that hinder you from being a reflection of Christ? How about relationships? Are there people in your life that hold you back? What do you face on a daily basis that may keep you from living a life reflective of His love?
