Intercede with Us for the Muslim World! “...And with your blood you [Jesus] purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation” (Rev. 5:9, NIV). Whoever will declare that Jesus is Lord has the right to be redeemed—and “whoever” includes 1.3 billion Muslims. More than 1 billion of them live in just 8 countries: Indonesia, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Turkey, Nigeria, Iran, and Egypt. Most of these areas have had a Christian witness since the 1 st century A.D. Today Islam dominates, but the Church is in all these nations. Pray for these believers, for fresh anointing and open doors of witness to their neighbors. Pray that Muslims will be attracted to the Truth as the Spirit reveals himself through the lives of His people and through visions and dreams.* Today's Prayer Requests: From Students, Alumni, and Missionaries CAMEROON: An alumna in this country writes: “Please include Cameroon for prayers as Boko Haram [a Nigeria- based terrorist group] has entered especially the northern part of the country. Three whites were kidnapped last month and nothing has been heard about them. Silently they are gaining ground in our country so we need God.” GHANA: An alumnus writes: “l have started what l call 'Christian Workers School of Theology' in my local church, which is in a Muslim community. Pray for us, that Muslims will join in the program to study the Bible and ultimately get converted. Pray also that the Lord will provide all the needs of the school, financially, logistically, and spiritually.” In the News Nigerian authorities have learned that most of the 200+ teen-aged girls kidnapped 14 April from a school in Chibok, a Christian area in Muslim-dominated Borno State, have been moved into Chad and Cameroon. Many were forced to marry Boko Haram members, who paid 2000 naira (about $12.45) as a dowry to the kidnappers. For details, read http://bit.ly/1nGwjBi . Please pray for God's divine intervention in this situation. Pray that these girls, many from Christian families, will know Jesus and His love as never before. Pray that Boko Haram members will find Jesus. This terrorist group has killed some 2,600 people so far this year, targeting mostly Christians (see http://bit.ly/1h9dzDr ). World Watch List: Pray for the Persecuted** Central African Republic has for the first time appeared on the World Watch List, ranked #16 among the 50 countries where persecution of Christians is most severe. The source of persecution is Islamic extremism propagated by the rebel group Séléka, made up mainly of foreign Muslims. While most citizens of CAR claim to be Christians, syncretism and false teaching have weakened the churches. Angry “Christians” have banded together to retaliate against Muslims, many of whom are fleeing north and continuing their attacks. Please pray (1) that true believers will find God's strength and reflect His love, (2) that those who claim to be Christians will truly seek and commit themselves to their Lord, and (3) that Muslims would have revelations of Jesus and opportunities to accept His truth and salvation. For more information and prayer requests, see http://bit.ly/1mUYYQD . For Muslim Women*** Please pray for L., a worker who needs clear direction for her work among Muslim friends. Pray for her mission leadership as this week they consider ways to support and empower her effective ministry.
