WHAT’S YOUR PHILANTHROPIC PASSION? There are many ways to donate and support the JCC of Mid-Westchester and uphold our mission to enrich the community by providing cultural, social, educational and recreational/fitness programs, human services and Jewish identity-building opportunities to people of all ages, backgrounds and sexual orientation. In order for us to fund and continue to provide these programs and services, we rely on generous financial support from our community.

To learn more about how you can support the JCC, please contact Melissa Haber, Development Officer at (914) 472-3300, x351 [email protected]

EMPLOYER MATCHED DONATIONS/ CORPORATE MATCHING GIFTSWhen you use your company’s matching gift program to add to your charitable donations, it’s like your whole company is part of your giving community.

PLANNED GIVING: JCC ENDOWMENT FUNDSBy initiating an endowment fund, your donation can help charitable causes that are near and dear to your heart while supporting the community for generations. Designate your personal endowment fund in honor of or in memory of a loved one or in a family name.

Here are five easy ways to start an endowment:• Cash or Appreciated Securities: An outright gift of cash

or appreciated securities may be used to start a named endowment. By donating appreciated securities you may be able to avoid capital gains and/or income taxes.

• Bequest: A donation established through the donor’s will in any amount, either to a general cause or to benefit a specific area of interest at the JCC.

• Charitable Gift Annuity: A one-time gift ($5,000 or more) that provides the donor with a fixed income for life, beginning at age 65 or later, and the remainder of the gift can be designated to the JCC.

• Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust: A gift in the form of a trust (better for gifts exceeding $100,000) that avoids fluctuations in interest rates by providing a fixed income to a donor or someone designated by the donor for life, joint lives, or a term of up to 20 years.

• Life Insurance Gift: An easy and potentially inexpensive way of creating a significant endowment. The donor may endow a gift for the JCC by using a life insurance policy while the donor pays the premiums. The donor will receive a tax deduction on the premium paid.

TRIBUTESHonor someone special by making a lasting tribute.Honor or Remember someone special in your life through a donation. Tributes are the perfect way to say thank you, happy birthday, get well, or remember someone who has died. A beautiful acknowledgement card will be sent with each donation.
