INTRALINK IDR-S is a Point to Point wireless

microwave family comprised of digital radio

relay systems designed to offer a cost effective

solution in long / short haul links. IDR-S is

available in split configuration, consisting of one

Outdoor unit (ODU) and one Indoor unit (IDU).

The first unit incorporates the transceiver

circuits while the other one incorporates the

interfacing, multiplexing and control functions.

These two units are interconnected via a single

coaxial cable. Intralink IDR-S conforms to ETSI

EN 301-128 requirements, employing robust

CPM, SQPSK modulation schemes

implemented by advanced digitalsignal processing techniques.

Each member of the Intralink

IDR-S family operates within

different frequency ranges.

Network Management System

MANAGEMENT operations, including local/remote station monitoring and link

evaluation according to ITU-T Rec. G.826, are accomplished via a local or centralized

terminal through SNMP interfaces. Provision has been made for connecting

INTRALINK systems to wider TMN structures. Up to 256 INTRALINK systems can be

continuously monitored from single connection point with TMN. PRMS Central

Management System can serve multiple subnetworks of the above capabilities.

The purpose of Intracom's Management System (PRMS) for the PTP Microwave

Radio family products is to provide operators with a centralized, coherent view of

network resources. rom a single location operators are able to remotely monitor

and actively control the operation of all network elements. The collection of stateinformation concerning the whole network allows the PRMS to further act as a first

level decision support tool allowing operators to define the behavior of the network

as a single entity. The Intralink Network Management Center (INMC) is composed of

a single server and a set of user workstations. The server besides being responsible

for the collection and processing of the network state information, it also drives the

user workstations.

Spectrum Efficiency Enhancement

IDR-S family becomes even more versatile with the recent launch of IDR-SM newIndoor unit (IDU) uplifted to incorporate 16x2 Mb/s with new robust 16QAM/QPSK/

SQPSK modulation shemes in order to optimize the spectrum efficiency of the

16E1's transport. urthermore, the new indoor is adaptable to the range of 2x2 up

to 16x2 Mb/s. The new Indoor unit (IDU) can be combined with the current Outdoor

unit (ODU) of 7, 8, 13, 15, 18, 23, 26, 38 GHz to provide the traffic/capacity groom-

ing in an excellent performance, according to ETSI standards.

Its modularity lies also upon the fact of dimensioning starting from 1U height for

2x2/4x2 1+0 configurations up to 3U height for 8x2/16x2 1+1 configurations.
