Corpus Christi Procession this year will be held on Sunday 23rd June at 4pm and Bishop Brian McGee (of the Diocese of Argyll & the Isles) has kindly agreed to preside. His Lordship hopes to visit the P4s at Holy Cross Primary and St Andrew’s Primary Schools on Friday, 7th June. Please remember that the Procession is an opportunity for the WHOLE Parish to show its love for Jesus in the Holy Eucharist.

Children’s Liturgy we would like to have more Volunteer Leaders at both the 9.30am Mass or 11.40am Mass. You do not require to be a qualified teacher and assistance will be given. This is a real service to the younger members of the parish.

Mons P Osborne (former p.p. of Sacred Heart Parish) will celebrate 60 Years as a Priest on Friday 14th June at 7.30pm at St Paul’s, Whiteinch, Glasgow. After Mass Tea & Coffee in Hall. All welcome.

Ascension Thursday (on 30th May) it is a Holyday of Obligation: Vigil Mass at 7pm; then 10am and 7pm.

Walk for Vocations will be on Sunday 16th June. Departing at 1pm to arrive at 4pm at Carmel, Kirkintilloch. The terrain involves mostly paths so bring appropriate footwear (& it may be raining!). No unaccompanied children or vulnerable adults. Non- walkers and non-cyclists are welcome to arrive around 3.30pm. Mother Prioress hopes to greet us and offer us tea & juice. Then some Sisters would join us for Holy Rosary (for Vocations) at 4.30pm & explain something of the charism of Carmel.

World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation (instituted for RCs by Pope Francis) is on 1st September. Following the inspiring presentation by Fr John Clark MCCJ, it was decided to mark this day here. If interested in helping to animate it, please consider attending a meeting (with J & P Group) on Wednesday 5th June in Parish Hall at 8pm.

“Synodal Church” Pope Francis has called for a Catholic Church which listens and learns from one another. What would such a church look like?
