1. WHAT DOES GOD DO WITH OUR TRASH?

a. He cast it behind his back.

“ you have put all my sins behind your back”.

Isaiah 38:17

2. HOW FAR DOES HE CAST IT?a. He cast it as far as the east is

from the west. “ as far as the east is from the

west, so far has he removed our transgressions

from us”. Psalm

103:12

3. WHERE DOES HE CAST IT?

a. He cast it into the depths of the sea.

“ You will again have compassion on us; and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea”.

Micah 7:19

4. THEN WHAT DOES GOD DO?

He remembers them no more. “ I, even I, am he who blots out

your transgressions, for my own sake, and

remembers your sins no more”. Isaiah

43:25

1. How do I forgive those who hurt me?a. Reveal your hurt.

"I can't be quiet. I am angry and bitter. I have to speak."

Job 7:11

"Listen to my bitter complaint. Don't condemn me, God!"

Job 10:1

1. How do I forgive those who hurt me?b. Release your offender.

"After Job prayed for his three friends, the Lord made him prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had before!" Job 42:10

"Peter asked Jesus, `Lord how many times should I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?'" Jesus answered ... `Not seven times, but seventy times seven times!'" Matt. 18:21-22 (NIV)

Forgiveness must be a process

c. Refocus your life.

"Put your heart right, reach out to God . . . then face the world again, firm and courageous. Then all your troubles will fade from your memory, like floods that are past and remembered no more."
