Overview The Human Annunciator III™ is designed to provide a highly reliable method of storing and reproducing high quality audio using nonvolatile memory to store phrases. This audio playback unit needs no computers and easily mounts on machinery or in instruments, and works with a DC adaptor and speaker. The quality of the output is far superior to “synthesized” speech. Since the audio is recorded, the tone and inflection of the person speaking are accurately reproduced by the module. In the development of this product, we paid particular attention to the audio output quality. Our goal is to deliver the finest quality audio. For most applicationsusing either male or female voices with optimal use of storage and playing time is 11 KSPS and 16 bits. Higher quality is available using a sample rate to 22 KSPS and 16 bits or when CD like quality is required use 44.1 KSPS and 16 bits.
There are many applications where the Human Annunciator III provides superior performance. These include military simulators, danger announcements for high-speed machinery and vehicles, messaging over telephone lines or via radio.
Sound sources include equations, WAV files, user provided audio on CD/DVD or a word list. There is a onetime charge for studio recording and talent. You can use broadcast professionals in a studioenvironment to create the source materials for the products. Audio Editing programs are available on the web for no cost with others purchased at a minimal cost to our customers should you decide to edit your source materials into words, phrases or sound effects. From WAV files the Human Annunciator III can be programmed using a PC. The files are stored in a Micro-SD card in .wav file format. When inserted into the socket on the PA25 the files in the Micro SD Card are copied to on board Flash Memory. The audio files can be erased and reprogrammed thousands of time. Additionally, we provide a serial I/O connector that can interface to your PC using a USB to Serial cable. Upon request, programming of the Human Annunciator III can be done by our factory.
Please contact our technical support to review your electrical interface, board sound source materials, or special requirements. Many functions have been implemented to meet our customers’ special needs.
