SEC. 2. LIKENESS OF HARRIET TUBMAN REQUIRED TO BE 1
INCLUDED ON THE FACE OF FEDERAL RE-2
SERVE NOTES. 3
The 8th undesignated paragraph of section 16 of the 4
Federal Reserve Act (12 U.S.C. 418) is amended by add-5
ing at the end the following new sentence: ‘‘The Secretary 6
of the Treasury shall designate one of the foregoing de-7
nominations and shall ensure that the face of all Federal 8
reserve notes of that denomination printed after December 9
31, 2017, shall bear the likeness of Harriet Tubman.’’.10
