    HANGES TO OUR PARKING LOT

or a while now, you've read about our parking lot traffic issues in the Gatoraid. In an effort to move the traffic through the lotster, while maintaing the safety of our students, our parking lot will be repainted and re-signed over the summer. When schoo

egins in August, you will notice that the curb will be marked for drop-off and pick-up only - this is much like the airport, wherears keep moving through. Drivers may not park cars at the curb. The curbside will be marked with signs instructing drivers they must pull all the way forward and that they may not stop or park. In addition, we will have a "drive through" lane that drive

an use when pulling out of the curbside lane (again, similar to the curbside at the airport). Finally, you'll notice the asphalt wilarked with arrows and words like, "drop-off/pick-up" or "drive through". Please contact me if you would be willing to help direaffic for the first weeks of school, until we see that drivers are able to follow the new procedure. Thank you in advance for youssistance and cooperation - this is hugely important for the safety of our students.

Please remember that at the end of theschool year a student must be in

your child cannot find the book, they will be charged forthe lost book. Books are very expensive and wecannot afford to absorb the cost of lost or destroyedbooks. Students will not receive a report card untilall library charges are paid. If the book is found afteryou have paid, your money will be refunded. Thankyou for your understanding regarding this matter.

ALLERGY SEASON HAS STARTEDThe flowers are blooming, trees are in bud and students arereacting with swollen eyes and other allergy symptoms. Redirritated eyes are often the sign of pink eye which is a contagiousdisease. When students come to the office complaining of soreeyes, there is nothing we can do to alleviate the pain other thanprovide a cold compress. We cannot diagnose the problem aseither an allergy or pink eye a doctor must do this.

If a prescribed or over-the-counter medicine is needed and is to beadministered at school, the office must have a doctor complete ablue medical form and have it on file before any medication can begiven. These forms are available in the school office. Studentsmay not to bring any medicine to school in their backpacks. Allmedications need to be in the original packaging with thepharmaceutical label. All medicine is kept in the school office.

School District? This allows the school district and ourschool to determine enrollment numbers for 2011-2012.Please return the form to your childs teacher no later thanMay 26th. Thank you.

LOST AND FOUNDBe sure to have your children check forlost items in our Lost and Found arealocated behind the administrativebuilding. Remind your child that it oftentakes a few days for an item to find itsway to the Lost and Found, so checkingmore than once is recommended. This is just a reminderthat CUSD policy states that all students must be in class othe last day of school. Students risk losing their placement aGarden Gate School for the 2011 - 2012 school year if theyare not present on the last day of school, June 7th, 2011.Students must also be present on the first day of the 2011 -2012 school year, August 18th, 2011.
