Creating a Podcast ProjectOpen GarageBand from the dock or from the Application folder on the hard drive and click Create New Podcast Episode (a new, blank podcast project opens
(If you have other, saved podcasts, you will need to choose File > New from the menu bar in GarageBand.)
Save your project inside the GarageBand folder
Select the track where you will be recording the person doing the podcast and click the record button to start recording. Click the play button to pause. Tips – No need to worry about mistakes all of that can be edited. No need to worry about reading the entire podcast all in one shot. Audio tracks can be rearranged and joined together. Allow some dead air at the beginning and end of each recording so it is easier to join them during the editing phase.
Creating 2
Click on the Jingles track, loop browser, and track info.
Select a jingle and drag it into the Jingle track.
Delete unneeded tracks by clicking on them and selecting Track--> Delete Track. (For our superintendent message we deleted all but the Podcast Track, Male Voice, and Jingles)
Editing
To begin editing click on the Track Editor button and navigate to the spot use wish to delete.
Click and drag over the section you wish to delete.
Click inside the darker shaded selection to disjoin that section from the rest of the recording
Editing 2Press the delete key and the section has disappeared. You can drag the two separated tracks together so they flow smoothly.
To edit the beginning or the end of an audio session click on the edge of the session until you see an arrow. Now click and drag in the direction you need to remove any dead air space. (You may also use the Split feature found in the Edit menu.)
When finished editing click and drag a jingle to the end of the podcast if you wish and save your podcast.
You might get prompted to save with an iLife preview, click yes.
Sharing
When finished saving, click on Share→ Send Song to iTunes.
