In October of 2006, my husbandEric and I experienced the tragicloss of our second baby througha miscarriage. It was a life-altering experience, awakening usat a whole new level to theamazing value God places onlittle lives that the rest of theworld doesnt value. It gave usnew passion not only for theunborn, but also for orphansaround the world. And it re-directed our ministry focustoward these precious little onesthat so desperate ly needadvocates. During our researchon the orphan crisis, we met witha local adoption agency thatspecialized in Korea and Chinaadoptions. Not thinking that wedbe personally adopting anytimesoon, we were just there to collectinformation and become moreaware of the needs of thesechildren overseas. But then weheard about a newborn baby girlin Korea who was missing herfingers and had deformities onher feet.
When we saw a photo of her tiny, misshapen baby hands, ourhearts were gripped. We learned
that she had been born to apoverty-stricken mother whogave her up at birth because ofher deformit ies - s incedeformities are a great shame inthe Korean culture, and becauseshe did not have money to carefor her. We left the agency withthe images of those deformedhands and feet impressed uponour hearts and minds. On thedrive home, Eric began to weepfor this little girl. (And crying isnot something that comes easilyto him!). We asked God to give usHis heart for this little child. Ericattempted to pray, but the onlywords that would come out of hismouth were, God, you are aFather to the fatherless, and youset the solitary in families. (FromPsalm 68:5) As we continued todrive, we felt a clear sense ofGods presence with us in the car.
When we arrived home, an emailfrom a friend was waiting for usin our inbox. She had no ideathat we were even checking in toadoption, but in her prayer timethat morning she felt that Godhad given her a scripture for us Psalm 68:5 God places thesolitary in families.
Needless to say, God had ourattention! We spent the weekendpraying for this baby girl, andasking God if we were to bringher into our family. By Mondaymorning, we had very little doubtthat this was Gods leading, though we still had no idea wherethe money would come from, webelieved that He would provide.
We called the agency and said wewould like to pursue her. We hadno idea where the money wouldcome from, but we knew this wasa step of obedience God wascalling us to take. We quicklylearned that God provides forevery detail when you stand forthe fatherless. Through a seriesof miracles, we received over$15,000 toward Harper sadoption over the next threeweeks, and had exactly what weneeded when it came time tomake the required payments. Webegan to pray that Harpersadoption would be the fastest oneour agency had ever done.

Some moments are far too precious to express in words and this was one of them. - Leslie Ludy
To learn more about the ministries of Eric and Leslie Ludy, please go to ellerslie.com
Three months later, Harper washome. From the moment we first sawher, we knew she was meant to beour daughter. There was an instant, supernatural bond between us. I willnever forget holding her for the firsttime, her tiny little mit reachingout to touch my face and my hair. Some moments are far too preciousto express in words and this wasone of them.
About a year after Harpers arrival,Eric and I were praying aboutadopting for the second time. Godhad laid it on our heart that He hadanother child to add to our family.
We didnt have a lot of cleardirection on where we were to look
for this child. We had begun doingsome research into adopting fromEthiopia and Haiti, and felt that Godwould hallmark a child in need for usto adopt, just like he did with Harper.
After a couple of months, though, westill didnt have a clear direction, sowe continued to wait and pray.
Around that time we met a teenagegirl named Bex at our church whowas 18 and pregnant. She was
visiting from North Carolina. We feltan instant connection with her. Asshe shared her story and her situation
with us, Eric told her, I want you toknow that if you decide to place thischild, Leslie and I would count it agreat privilege to adopt your baby.Later, when he told me he said thatto her, I started laughing and said,Dont you think that was kind ofpresumptuous? I mean, she doesnt
even know us! But he felt like Godwanted him to say those words to her.
We didnt see Bex for several weeks, and assumed she had returned backto her home in North Carolina. Inthe meantime, we continued topursue other adoption possibilities, and yet nothing had quite been theright fit. We didnt think much aboutour meeting with Bex, and assumedthat she had found another family toadopt her baby, or had decided toparent her child. But then over thesummer, she showed up at churchagain. She showed us the ultra-sound photos of her little unbornboy. She said she had decided onadoption, and had not yet chosen a
family. On the drive home fromchurch, Eric asked me if I feltanything significant about ourconversation with Bex. I was hesitantto say yes, but it truly did seem likeGod was orchestrating something.
After praying about it that night, wecalled Bex the next day and asked tomeet with her. That conversationwas amazing and God-directed! Bexhad been feeling drawn to us asadoptive parents for her baby, buthad prayed that if God was leadingthis, that we would approach her
about it. It was an astoundingmoment to realize that this was yetanother story that God was scriptingin our lives.
Over the next few months, we spentlots of time with Bex, getting to knowher and love her as part of ourfamily. Early in the morning on
November 1, 2008, Bex called us andsaid, My water just broke you guyare going to have a baby! Eric and had the privilege of being in thehospital when Kipling was born andspending time with him just momentafter he arrived onto the sceneThree days later, we brought Kiphome. I will never forget leaving thhospital that night, seeing thesacrificial love of a mother sayinggoodbye to her child because shewanted the very best for him. I criedall the way home.
We had an entrustment ceremony foKip a couple weeks after he arrivedhome close friends and familysurrounded us and Bex, and we al
read letters of prayer and blessingover his life. Bex wrote a beautifuletter of entrusting this child intoour arms, and believe me there wanot a dry eye in the room. Kipadoption is an open one, meaningthat Bex will have a relationship withhim throughout his life. What ablessing! We call Bex his TummyMommy and since she lives nearbywe get to see her quite often.
Eric and I are so awed and amazedby how God has shown us Hi
miracle of adoption. Harper andKipling bring far greater blessing and joy to our lives than we ever coulhave imagined and it is our prayethat more and more Christianfamilies will experience the fatheheart of God by opening their heartand homes to a needy child.

From the FoundersMike and Christa Hahn
Over the past couple of months we have seen miracle after
miracle from the Lord, reminding us of His power and favor
towards furthering His kingdom and purposes. By no accident, so
many impossible details have begun to fall into place for His Little
Feet. All glory goes to the Lord for His mighty hand of direction
and provision. As we celebrate these miracles, we also grieve the
pain and suffering of the millions of children around the world
that are still in need of love and care. Daily we are compelled bythe urgency to take our strength in the Lord, and stand on behalf
of those who are weak.
We cant help but think, as we sit at our desks here in the
United States planning the choir tour, that there are millions of
children in need now...not 6 months from now, but today. Instead
of being too overwhelmed by the need, we encourage each of you
to prayerfully consider what it is that the Lord desires for you to do
to impact one orphaned and vulnerable children now. Today, some
of you might be ready to begin sponsoring a child in need
overseas. Or maybe today, you are ready to go overseas and serve
orphaned and vulnerable children. Others of you have been
waiting a long time to start the adoption process and just havent
taken the first step...today could be the day.
The Lord is looking for His people to reach out to those inneed, in His name, not only meeting their needs but also drawing
them to Himself. Colossians 3:17 reminds us, And whatever you
do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord
Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Be
encouraged to live a life worthy of the Lord, for He truly is worthy
to be praised by the lives we live today.
