I came across this quote from A.W.Tozer today:

“Faith is not merely a journey f or thefeet, but it is a journey for the heart.”

This quote sums up my past two

months in Haiti. Trying to explain allof the steps the Lord has taken Mikeand me through to bring the children’schoir to the States is overwhelming.

What I do remember howe  ver, isGod’s presence and power in us along this entire journey, one step at a time.

When Mike and I got to Haiti, we hadchecklists, stacks of papers and a clearplan in place. Our journey has turnedout to entail much more than weexpected. We have flown back andforth from Ouanaminthe to Port AuPrince six times; we have driven all

over the streets of Port Au Princegoing from one office to another; wehave met with Haitian officials, judges, notaries and lawyers. We have stayedwith Haitian pastors and their familieswho still li  ve in tents outside theirhomes because they are still fearful of sleeping inside. We have waited fordays for just one phone call and otherdays we ha  ve not even had time tograb a bite to eat. We have witnessedthe death of a little baby boy whodied of dehydration. We have beenapproach by little children begging forfood. We have held little children that

cannot speak   for themsel ves...the

orphaned and the handicapped. Wehave celebrated with children that arebeing helped and cared for. We havebeen ignored, lied to and yelled at.Corruption has tried to bait us. Wehave grieved for the poor and the lostin ways we have never done before.

We are so grateful for everything theLord has allowed us to experience andwe are honored to stand for Him inHaiti.

The journey my feet have traveledthese past couple months hassignificantly changed my life. Amidstthe path my feet have trod, my hearthas been transformed, my faithdeepened. Total and utter dependenceupon the Lord has been necessary tosurvive this, one of the greatest tests of my life. Daily He has supplied what Ihave needed, and daily I have learned

to submit more and more to Hisauthority and timing.

Along the way, God’s Word has beensharpening my faith and teaching mehow to humbly walk in obedience tomy King. He knows all and He is thegreat “I Am.” The challenge from the

Word of God has been clear:

Job 38:16 - “Have you journeyed tothe springs of the sea or walked in therecesses of the deep?” Job 39:11 -“Will you rely on him for his greatstrength? Will you leave your heavy

work to Him? Can you trust him tobring in your grain and gather it to

 your threshing floor?”

Recently I wrote a song for the choircalled “His Little Feet.” One part ofthe song says, “And every step of theway oh Lord we pray that we wouldbe Your little feet.” Being His LittleFeet means something different for menow. My prayers have changed from“Lord help me to accomplish myplans” to “Lord may I...become morelike You; draw closer to You; behumbled before You; rely on Youmore; entrust this great work for Youto bring to completion in Your time.”

May we all shine for Him and be HisLittle Feet amidst the journey for theheart.

UPDATESphase one coming to an end... phase two on the horizon

Since the Summer 2010 Footsteps Magazine release, many things have started to unfold. Here’s a quick update of wher we are at in Phase One:

1. National Partnerships - His Little Feet has partnered with two very special organizations...Compassion International and  Visiting Orphans. His Little Feet encourages everyone to consider the following responses to help, love and train orphaned and vulnerable children...

SPONSOR A CHILD THROUGH COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL - When someone sponsors a child with a tax-deductible contribution of just $38 a month, Compassion International provides that child with a loving, church based child sponsorship prog ram that provides: food and clean water, medical care, educational opportunities, important life-skills training, and most important of all, the opportunity to hear about Jesus Christ and be encouraged to develop a lifelong relationship with God.

GO ON AN INTERNATIONAL TRIP TO SERVE ORPHANED AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN THROUGH  VISITING ORPHANS - Visiting Orphans helps enlist and equip individuals, groups and/or churches to go overseas to help meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of orphaned children, while at the same time sharing the Gospel. Visiting Orphans offers mission trips to Uganda, China, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Haiti, Ecuador, Honduras, Ethiopia, Ukraine, Rwanda, Ghana, Ecuador and Kenya.

2. PERMISSION GRANTED BY U.S. STATE DEPARTMENT - On August 18, 2010, His Little Feet was granted permission fromthe US Department of Homeland Security to proceed to Haiti to appeal for the choir participant’s visas. This was a huge step forwardPraise be to the Lord!

3.  VISA’S GRANTED TO ALL 19 PARTICIPANTS! - On September 27, 2010, exactly one month after the Hahn’s arrival to Haiti, al19 visas were granted by the U.S. Embassy in Port Au Prince. What a praise...all glory to Him!

4. HAHN’S HAVE BEEN IN HAITI FOR OVER 60 DAYS - On Friday, August 27, 2010, the Hahn’s departed for Haiti. Since thenthe Hahn’s have been working on the last step for the final clearance process for the children - Travel Authorization from the HaitianGovernment. This process is taking much longer than expected. Please keep the Hahn’s in your prayers.

5. NEW VOLUNTEER STAFF MEMBERS - His Little Feet recently brought on new volunteer staff members, committed to helpingloving and training the precious choir children. Mike and Christa are so excited to have a team of people on board and ready to servthe precious kiddo participants!

6. TOUR BOOKINGS FILLING UP FAST - If you or your church is interested in booking the choir for an event, please [email protected] or visit www.hislittlefeet.org or call 1-866-252-3899.

7. HIS LITTLE FEET MUSIC ALBUM is recorded and the children are practicing daily in Haiti! The missionaries have reported tha

all of the children at Danita’s home are listening to the CD non-stop...they love it! His Little Feet plans to release the CD soon after thchoir arrives to the States!

Note from James Jonas: Wausau, Wisconsin - Age 25 I have always had a huge heart for kids, but over this past summer God gave me a burden for the orphans of the world by

showing me just a glimpse of His heart for them. After surrendering my full time job and an internship at my church to follow

God’s leading in this burden, everything fell into place for me to work with His Little Feet. The more I press into Christ in the

area of standing for the least of these the more I feel Him leading me to work in the area of orphan rescue. Having never left

the country before, I find it funny how God often uses the least likely person to do His work in certain areas, as I know this

calling will eventually lead me overseas.

Note from Carrie Perrine:  McGregor, Minnesota - Age 22 The most important thing about me is that I love Jesus Christ and my life belongs to Him, to use for His glory and renown!

Another huge part of my life has always been children, having ten younger siblings and working in childcare for over three

years. I feel God leading me to serve Him by working with children and being an advocate for orphans. Therefore, when I

heard about the opportunity to work with His Little Feet, it seemed like the perfect fit for me. I prayed about it and God

made it clear to me that this is what He wants me to do during this season of my life. I am blessed to be a part of this

ministry, and so excited that I get to be a part of these precious children’s lives!

Note from Brooke Berberich: Castle Rock, Colorado

Age 20  I have a true desire to live out James 27 and Proverbs 31:8-9 to the fullest. I have always felt called to be a voice to the

voiceless whether it be capturing a laughing child’s face or sharing with other people the burden He has placed on my  heart. The Lord has immensely blessed me with the honor and joy of working with His Little Feet, not only to be able to

pour into the children’s lives but also bring an awareness of all His precious children to those who He is calling (His church)

to care for. You too can answer His call- you have the honor to be His hands and feet and have the privilege to lavish His

love on the destitute and broken.

Note from Rachel Baker:  Millersburg, Ohio - Age 24 I Thessalonians 5:24 - Faithful is he that called you, who also will do it.

Our God truly is faithful and will equip us with exactly what is needed for the task that he assigns. Not only does he equip,

he accompanies.  I experienced this first-hand as he led me to work with His Little Feet and the kiddos of Haiti.  I am

excited to see how God will continue to lead me and this ministry throughout this year and in the future.

Meet Aaron Kinabrew:  Madera, California - Age 18 I am just a simple farm boy from California who has an increasing desire to be used for the glory of Jesus in whatever way

He desires. From that, he grew in me a burden for the lost and broken in Haiti and provided an opportunity  to serve His

children through mysterious, yet wonderful ways! I had specifically pleaded with God to allow me in some way to serve him

through this ministry and shortly after my plea, my God in his perfect faithfulness and through his miraculous provision

placed me in this amazing position to testify of His empowering grace and sustaining right hand; his grace truly is sufficient

(2 Cor. 12:9).  My ever-growing passion is to see Christ introduced and made  manifest    in the lives of those who are

vulnerable and weak, and I am so excited, honored, and humbled to be a  part of His work!

From the FoundersMike and Christa Hahn

Our good friend Eric Ludy has taught us two very

important lessons recently: Immovability and Tensile

Strength. Being immovable literally means not being moved,

shaken, overthrown or dislodged spiritually amidst life’s

challenges. Tensile Strength is given when you allow the

Lord’s strength to manage the tension of your soul which

then allows you to embrace difficulties with Hisstrength...those difficulties that have no place in taking over

 your life.

We have found often that when the arrows of life are

thrown towards us it is easy to be distracted and jolted off

course. The past 65 days in Haiti have been a true test for us.

Many circumstances have tried to move, shake, overthrow

and dislodge us. But through it all God’s ever-present help

and grace have been steady and strong. We are so grateful for

His presence as we hold fast to His truths and promises. In

Haiti darkness is lurking all around, and yet still we have seen

and experienced Jesus Christ’s light still shine so bright. For

who knows, except the Lord, what He is about to unveil. May

we all be immovable with His tensile strength this day!

 Abounding in His Love,
