General Purpose
Avail the network 2G AND 3G to 99.98% of the time, plan, coordinate, control and organize regional maintenance/curative activities.
Main Responsibility Area
Plans and executes technical tasks according to given tasks, along with existing processes and instructions. Works with the responsibility of responding to customer problems directly or through internal customer interface. Solves technical problems.
Position Description
• Carry out preventive maintenance for BTS, transmission nodal sites, BSCs,• Carry out Curative maintenance for BTS, transmission nodal sites, BSCs,• Manage Nokia property under your jurisdiction i.e. car, tools, furniture and equipments: Forward condition/service report of vehicle, tools and equipment to leader. • Develop leadership skills by co-coordinating regional curatives when on-call.• Perform monthly preventives on equipments and accessories in accordance to standards and ensure that the equipments, structures and compounds are in good condition at all times.

• Perform curatives (fault resolution) on equipments and transmission links within the stipulated standard times and regional budgets so as to achieve the RNA target of 99.98% at all times.• Immediate Submission of faulty spares to logistic and ensure replenishment of the used spares from logistics.• Implement planned work schedules e.g. TRX addition/deletion, equipment upgrades/downgrades, microwave supervision addressing, cable and/or antenna measurements, A+Abis traces etc on time as per the relevant works order.• Perform site and /or link acceptance as per the design • Attend to network complaints by subscribers e.g. call drops, blank calls, echoes, weak signal strength or any other NW related issue.• Develop a cordial working relation with contractors to achieve the goals of the company and reduce outages as a result of their contributions.• Enhance job progression by teamwork and cooperation while nurturing autonomy in fault management.
Position Requirements
• Surveillance/Local Monitoring of BSC's & RNC's when OSS connectivity is down• Provide field support to GDC, Local SME and TSG• Site data base and node Backup management• Spare and inventory management for BTS & NodeB's domain nodes• Ensuring data integrity of daily outage tracker on GNOC portal for BTS & Node B incidents(Ensuring all incidents are captured by GDC team, incident durations, RCA, clears etc.)• Validation of Incident report and RCA for BTS & Node B incidents•Closure of assigned TTs/WO within SLA ( TT's assigned to local team requiring physical intervention on BTS, NODE-B, TXN equipment)• Perform any other duty assigned by the leader and /or management
