    FINDINGS PSG Institute of Management Studies is holding the first place based

    on the responses of TN respondents and Kerala respondents.

    RVS Institute of Management Studies and Research ranked second

    based on the responses of the TN respondents.

    And Guruvayurappan Institute of Management studies is given secondrank by the Kerala respondents.

    Some aspects like Location, Fee structure, Faculty strength and Brandname Hindustan institution, Karpagam institution, Happy valley B-School are given second rank by the Kerala respondents.

    FINDINGS - Contd..

    Infrastructure facility of the institution is given a very high importance(80.5%) by TN students.

    Institutional Ranking is also given very high importance by both TNand Kerala students.

    A very high importance is given to placements (70%) as well as Faculty(63.6%) by TN students.

    Fee structure is a very high influencing factor (58.2%) for TN studentswhile it is slightly lower among Kerala students (33.1%).

    FINDINGS - Contd.. Friends influence the UG students in choosing the institutions for

    MBA program.

    Majority of the respondents i.e.,51.8% in Coimbatore and 53.1% inKerala, wish to pursue MBA program for getting good job.

    CONCLUSION Infrastructural facility, Institutional ranking, Fee structure, Placements

    Opportunities, Previous Placement records, Affiliation to the university,Good faculty, Location of the institution etc.. Are the major influencingfactors of the attitude of the students in choosing B-Schools.

    Friends opinion is the major influencing factor in determining theselection of college.

    TN respondents perceive that fee structure is high in stand-alone B

    Schools and Deemed Universities.

    Kerala students perceive that the fee structures of Engineering colleges arehigh.

    1. PSG Institute of Management Studies - first place
