Wanting to invite a friend to

church but just waiting for the

right occasion? On Palm

Sunday a drama group fromBethel College will be taking

the 2nd half of the service to do

a variety skits that are sure to

be inspiring. An event like this

might be just the thing for your

friends venture into church.

Speaking of friends, how good

a one are you being? Im

thinking of two groups of

people. First our comrades who

dont believe in Jesus. Are we

taking those occasional

opportunities to speak up forGod? Do they know what and

why we believe as we do? We

want to be able to tell God

someday that we did all we

could to help them come to

know Him personally.

The second group of people I

was thinking about are your

church buddies. Do you take

opportunities beyond Sundaysto see how they are doing? Are

you encouraging them to keep

pressing on with the Lord? God

places us in local church

families to lift each other up.

My guess in this age of

Facebook is that many of the

people we call friends are

really just acquaintances.

Friendships take time to develop

and intentional interaction to

deepen. Maybe it is time to

select a few people and take

your commitment to them to a

Resurrection Sunday

Easter Sunday is anothergreat day to invite a family to

church because if they everintend to go it will be around

Christmas or Easter. This yearthe day kicks off with a late

sunrise Breakfast at 9AM,

followed by an Egg Hunt(10:10), and then Worship

(10:30). During the service thekids will sing a couple songs,

we will have some corporateworship, a music special,

coffee, visiting, and a Biblemessage. Good times!

Eat Together

It is that time of year againwhen we can do two things we

love: eat and support a goodcause. The Summer of Service

(SOS) fundraiser outings are agreat time to go deeper with

one another. I hope you will

be intentional in showing upand sitting with people fromFCC. Feel free to bring a

friend and introduce them toyour church family.
