    Your Summer of Service

Once again summer is upon us

and for several weeks we move

    into altered schedules and

ministries. Our next big event,SOS (Summer of Service), will

involve about 1/3 of our church

when you include the youth and

    adult volunteers. Every year this

    cooperative venture between

    25+ area churches (largely

    under Pastor Marks direction)

    bases at Bethel College and

fans out to bless the community.

We will say more about how itgoes in the next newsletter.

Summer is also a time when

some are able to vacation or to

at least do things out of the

ordinary. I hope that you willremember that the church is you

    - that we all need your

    involvement. We are not some

    huge church that can hire

everything done- we are still a

    church that needs volunteers.

And, quite frankly, that is the

way it should be. We are all

called to minister, not to simply

hire ministry to be done on our

    behalf.-Pastor Randy
