The goal of my research is to develop the theoretical foundations and its

applications for capturing and reproducing the light field in the real world.

My research interests include

3D displays, virtual reality, computer graphics, and computer vision,

especially physical and mathematical theories of these technologies.

Discussion 2: Required data for future storage

• 5000〜50000 ppi (pixels per inch)

– Around 300ppi now in market!

• 10 inch : 2.5〜250 billion pixels / frame

• RGB 8bit: 7.5 〜 750 Tbytes / frame

(BDXL: 128 Gbyte)

• Necessity and Consistency of many 3D

standards

• In the future

– A standard covers whole 3D technology

– Novel storages for enormous data

– Novel devices to control light ray and display into the

real world precisely.
