Since 2003 our stylists have been combining their regular salon appointments with editorial, commercial and catwalk assignments across the globe, bringing back all the latest techniques and trends. SIGNATURE COURSES

CUTTING AND COLOURING COLLECTIONOur principle course is based around the latest Taylor Taylor London collection which showcases the individuality of our brand and reflects upon our constant involvement with high fashion styling.

Taking inspiration from editorial, catwalk and street style our educators will demonstrate the current, fashion led trends in both cutting and colouring. With a clear emphasis on how to translate these looks for your regular clients we will guide you through all the latest techniques that can be used on the salon floor.

This course can be tailored to suit the individual level of experience and can be booked for 1 to 5 days. The course consists of both demonstrations on live models and workshops.

CATWALK TO CLIENT

During the fashion season our stylists can be found working as part of the session styling teams at all the major catwalk shows in London, Paris, New York and Milan. This course harnesses our experience from the catwalk runways and focusses on the editorial and styling skills needed to translate the season’s key looks for your clients.

Our team will provide an in depth presentation of the major trends from the fashion shows around the world and will then teach the styling techniques used to achieve those runway looks for a more commercial salon environment. We also show you how to be creative with the tools, equipment and product that is needed to turn the looks into a wearable style for your client.

For those stylists wishing to further their careers in session styling our educators can tailor a specialist program focussing purely on the skills needed to create the looks for assignments in editorial or high fashion styling outside the salon environment.

This course can be tailored from 1 to 3 days and will consist of morning demonstrations and trend reports followed by afternoon workshops.

MEN’S MASTERCLASS

Alongside daily appointments in the salon and regular contributions to editorial and commercial features our styling team is heavily involved in the creation of the men’s runway collections in each of the four fashion capitals . With a unique perspective on male style our specialist team houses some of the freshest talent in the industry.

This course is a masterclass in men’s cutting and styling embracing all the latest looks and developing the techniques needed to achieve them in the salon. Focussing on cutting and grooming we will be demonstrating the latest catwalk and commercial looks on male models, showcasing both fundamental and contemporary cutting and how fashion is changing the way we style our male clientele.

This course can be tailored from 1 to 3 days and will consist of morning demonstrations and trend reports followed by afternoon workshops.

COLOUR SPECIALIST

We are one of the country’s leading salons for colour applications and our technicians have international recognition with a client list that spans the globe. From high fashion techniques through to more commercial salon applications our colour team is in exceptionally high demand and is the fashion editors go-to salon of choice. This course is a must for any technician who wants to potentialise their column, keep their colour portfolio up to date and learn the latest colour trends. Integrating new colour developments alongside foundation techniques will enable you to excite your clients with new possibilities on colour.

This course can be tailored to technicians of any level and lasts from 1 to 3 days depending on your requirements.

We have included short profiles of two of the leaders of our creative team to give you a flavour of the calibre.

Chie Sato | Head of Education

Chie is one of a prestigious group of hair stylists who have claimed the title of Best International Hairdresser from the AIPP (Association Internationale Presse Professionnelle Coiffure). Chie’s career began in Japan over 20 years ago before moving to London to join Toni & Guy where she was a member of the renowned Artistic Team and was crowned Avante Garde Hairdresser of the Year at the British Hairdressing Awards in 2014/ 15. Hosting seminars across the globe, running her own shows at London fashion week and working for the likes of Elle and Shortlist Chie has achieved international recognition for her work and we are privileged to have her heading up our education team.

Maria Galati | Editorial Specialist

Maria is well versed in “living out of her suitcase” with global advertising campaigns and international seminars for up to 3,000 participants under her belt. Her editorial work has been published in the likes of Elle, Grazia, Vogue and Stylist and she also manages to find time to run her own session styling teams at London Fashion Week. With a passion for cutting and styling Maria pushes the boundaries of what can be created with hair which she combines with a fanatical eye for detail.

Santiago Rodriquez | Colour Specialist

Santiago developed his career by working in many of the major cities across Europe before settling in London and joining the Taylor Taylor London team. With a natural eye for colour alongside his signature techniques Santiago is known for his lived in colours, multi - dimensional blondes and extreme, vivid tones. His colour collections have been published in both industry and consumer publications as varied as Creative Head, Fucking Young, Vanity Teen and Kaltblut and are recognised across the globe.

Kris Barnes | Colour Specialist

From commercial campaigns to celebrity styling Kris is our rule breaker. Winning Best Colourist on his graduation from Sasoon Kris quickly went on to develop his career at Trevor Sorbie where he showcased his creativity and began his career teacing colouring techniques. Kris is hugely experienced in running his own commercial campaigns for brands such as Maybelline and Tommy Hilfiger and his work can also be seen on key models inpublications as varied as Elle, Vogue, Wonderland and Grazia.

EDUCATION DETAILS

Whether you are at the beginning of your hairdressing journey or you are already a well established stylist our bespoke education programs will be fully tailored to suit your needs. From a one day refresher to a session styling masterclass our maximum teacher to student ratios are 1:6 and are supported with relevant literature including seasonal trend reports, step by steps on how to get the look as well as detailed product and equipment instructions.

Our educators can travel to any location in the world and have experience of running seminars and shows for up to 3,000 participants but for those who prefer to travel to see us in a more traditional environment we also have access to training spaces around London.

Our education has the beauty of being completely flexible to your individual needs so we simply charge a daily or weekly rate per candidate and from the very beginning we will work alongside you to create a fully personalised training experience.
