Do You Punctuate? Is a letterpress print studio based in Otley, West Yorkshire. Using

traditional Letterpress printing methods, to create unique and contemporary luxury

stationery items.

Rebecca Gilray is the founder and owner of DYP Which was set up after finishing an

MA in design and typography. DYP was named after my research question which was

based on punctuation. With a passion for language, I try to incorporate elements of my

previous studies into my work as a printer.

Printing on a Charlton and Cropper improved Peerless printing press, which was born

in 1889 and was restored back to working order. I named her Mabel and she does the

majority of the print work; I use historical printing blocks from as early as 1870, and lead

and wooden movable type blocks to create typographic cards. However, I also use 21st

Century technology to create my own printing plates which means I am able to offer a

personal design service to match your needs.

The Yorkshire Collection

Welcome to the Yorkshire Sayings collection. These lovely cards are printed to 330gsm recycled cotton paper and come with a recycled kraft brown envelope. Measuring 10.5cm x 14.8cm.

The lovely thing about these cards is that any local dialect or saying can be printed. Welsh, Scottish, Irish, regional dialect and sayings, the list is endless.

A beautiful collection of embossed ornamental notes cards, supplied as a 6 pack; each set compromises of various designs (as pictured) and are supplied in a recycled box bearing a printed ornamental to the front. (Not shown)

Each note set is supplied with ivory envelopes to match the 300gsm ivory square cards. Each card measures 7cm x 7cm.

The Retro Phone Dial

This gorgeous collection of cards was inspired by the colours of old exercise books and the traditional phone dial image. Printed onto 200gsm coloured recycled card, every note card comes with a recycled brown envelope. Each set compromises of 8 cards in various colours and are bound with a recycled paper belly band.

These cards measure A7 in size or 7.4cm x 5.25cm

Personalised Birthday ‘ish’

These cards can be produced into any number required, with 30ish, 40ish and 99ish being the most popular. You can also order lower teens like 16 with 18 and 21 being popular too.

Letterpress printed using 1940’s German printing blocks onto 100% recycled Cotton paper, a crimson red envelope is included and the card is wrapped in cellophane.

The colours of the number can be changed if preferred. The ‘ish’ is printed ‘blind’.

A beautiful Ex Libris Bookplate, printed from an original 1930’s block, letterpress printed onto Fabriano Artistico 200gsm, fine paper in black ink.

The Knitting writing set is one of the most popular products sold at DYP. Letterpress Printed onto 180gsm Fabriano Artistico Art paper, this knitting motif is beautifully printed in red. Colour Variations are available however, red has proven to be the most popular colour choice.

The set compromises of 10 leaves of A5 of luxury paper, printed with the motif and 10 crimson red or Kraft brown envelopes. The leaves are folded and then bound with brown string. This makes it suitable to post as a large letter.

The Retro Toy Dog is a firm favorite at DYP, with the card and writing set often bought as Birthday gifts.

The greetings card is gicclee printed to 300gsm brilliant white card and is left blank inside for your own message.

The writing paper is gicclee printed to 180gsm Fabriano Artistico luxury paper and compromises of 10 leaves of paper and 10 envelopes. Bound with brown string, the leaves are A5 in size and folded, so they are perfect to post as a large letter.

] Due to the unique way letterpress is printed, actual items may differ slightly from the samples and/or photographs from our website. If you require a particular design, then we shall try our best to accomodate your requirements.

] Items purchased may not be reproduced or copied in anyway without my complete persmission.

] There is a minimum order value of £55.

] Full payment must be made in advance. Once payment has cleared, your order will be produced.

] Payment for orders can be made via Credit/Debit card or BACS transfer to the bank account details on your invoice. ] A 3% admin charge is added if paying by credit card. (Including American Express)
