I hope to become an Early elementary teacher and a graphic artist

My definition of educational technology

…I feel that educational technology are any programs,

sites, or tools used to develop the minds of our students

Kindergarten technology

• We used old apple computers and some newer PC’s

• Restricted use to mainly artistic purposes

High school technology

• We were required to take typing classes but other than that, computer classes were not even offered at this public school

College technology

• I have a major in integrated media with a minor in business

• I have taken many web based design classes but not ANY educational teaching classes

• Mac computers are the only way to go when it comes to design

• The election of President Barack Obama, changing history

• The first presidential election I was eligible to vote in

A technology I want to use in my classroom

• I would like all my students to have a Mac Book Pro laptop to be able to use the Adobe Creative Design Suite

My vision of the classroom of the future

• I would like to see the interaction between students and teachers at a minimum and the interaction between the students and hands on learning at a maximum

A challenge for teaching

• A challenge that I see in my teaching career would be the various types and platforms of technology that different students use and are accustomed to
