The vinyl coating of Ponte Giulio grab bars feature the built-in BioCote® antimicrobial technology,which is based on silver ions and provides continuous protection, for the expected lifetime ofthe product, against a wide range of bacteria and mould. For more information see page 6.

The products are manufactured with recycled materials and are then recyclable and reusable ata different percentage depending on the item. For more information see page 7.

The products can bear the weight as shown in the icon. The weight resistance is certified byTÜV, when its logo appears next to the product, or tested by Ponte Giulio itself. For moreinformation see page 4.

The grab bars come assembled; the fixing flanges, flange covers and concealing seals arealready fixed to the body of the grab bar.

Designing products with bathroom safety in mind

spurs Ponte Giulio to be highly attentive.

The devotion to safety influences the products from

the earliest part of their design stage. Indeed people,

especially those with physical limitations, rely on the

safety of these accessories which must meet the

highest standards of quality and functionality.

Quality

Quality means adopting guidelines and values so that

the quality culture prevails in the company.

Ponte Giulio has been working for years to pursue this

goal by introducing new manufacturing techniques, in

compliance with EU regulations. This is proved by a

series of different certifications, involving both the

company organization and the products (A).

Environment

As a company caring for the environment, Ponte

Giulio seeks to minimize the impact of its activities on

the environment as much as possible and to reduce

the consumption of resources during production.

Ponte Giulio makes decisions and choices with

respect to the environment in mind, from the design

of its products to the choice of materials, methods of

production and suppliers.

Ponte Giulio operates a very thorough waste

separation system and an appropriate disposal of

production residuals, thus complying to EU directive

2002/96/CE regulations.

A high percentage of Ponte Giulio grab bars are

manufactured using recycled raw materials. At the

end of its life cycle, a product can be recycled and

used again for new production (D).

The vinyl used by Ponte Giulio is free of

environmentally dangerous stabilizers, colourings and

heavy metals such as lead, mercury and cadmium (D).

Health

The environment and objects influence everyone’s

health.

As a priority, Ponte Giulio focuses on safety by

choosing raw materials which are free of components

that are dangerous to our health.

Some of the grab bars lines are manufactured in vinyl

enriched with the BioCote® silver ions-based

technology (E) (see page 6)

Toxic and dangerous heavy metals such as lead,

mercury and cadmium are not present in the vinyl and

pipes used by Ponte Giulio.

The vinyl used is plasticized with innovative and NON

carcinogen materials and coloured with products

FREE of heavy metals that are dangerous for the

environment.

Ponte Giulio grab bars are biocompatible and can

therefore be tolerated by human organisms (F).

What is BioCote®?

CARING FOR THEENVIRONMENT

PONTE GIULIO cares about environmental

protection and the effects caused by the

transformation of the materials used in the

production of its products.

In order to pursue this goal, Ponte Giulio

carefully selects materials which have a

low impact on the environment, from the

raw materials and their transformation, to

the manufacturing of a product, its

disposal and the possibility of reusing the

products.

For each item, a percentage of recycled

and recyclable material is determined and

stated in terms of weight. In order to

increase this percentage, Ponte Giulio

encourages its customers to limit the

amount of waste and gives them the

option of replacing damaged parts using

reclaimed products. Thus, Ponte Giulio

products are not only recyclable but even

reusable (*).

The respect for environment is not only

achieved with “green” action but mainly

through a definite way of thinking by the

company’s management and employees.

Ponte Giulio operates a thorough waste

separation scheme. The raw materials and

other substances used for production are

chosen in order to provide both incredibly

high quality for the final product and to

guarantee the least possible impact on

human beings and the environment.

Controls such as emissions in the

atmosphere, are thoroughly carried out

and our suppliers are selected for sharing

our attitude and vision.

In order to render this approach objective

and visible, Ponte Giulio has conformed to

the environmental standards set by UNI

EN ISO 14001 “Environmental

management systems”.

Lifting bathtubs

The lifting bathtubs are manufactured in fibreglass and are liftedthrough a 24V electric actuator. They are equipped with hand showersfor washing and disinfection and a thermostatic mixer tap featuring ananti scald device. Some models offer a hydro massage system

Shower stretchers

The shower stretchers are designed to comfortably shower a patient.They are electrically operated and welcome patients with a maximumweight of 185 kg. The stretchers can be tilted by 7°

The control panels are equipped with a thermostatic mixer tapfeaturing an anti scald device, hand shower for washing anddisinfection to guarantee hygiene and protection against bacteria andviruses

Information for fixing the grab bars

The products must only be installed by competent and authorised personnel, using the fixing screws and plugs that are most suitable to the type of wall. Fittersmust make sure that the wall, where the installation is performed, is perfectly flat, without any joints or protruding tiles. The wall’s structure must be suitable forfixing the products and there mustn’t be any weak parts. All the required screws and plugs must be absolutely fixed. Omission or inefficiency of one plug, dangerouslyreduces load resistance. Omission or inefficiency of two or more screws and plugs does not guarantee the product’s resistance. The recommended fixing screwsand plugs can be purchased in any specialised shop and must be chosen by qualified persons according to the type of wall where the installation is performed. General Sale Conditions

The present law refers to terms from

the European Community

Ponte Giulio company reserves the rights to introduce any kind of variation in orderto improve its quality and/or components/accessories of its products/services at anytime without the obligation to send any notice to its customers.

The prices of the goods are V.A.T. excluded and EXW - Incoterms 2000 -,delivery. These could be modified only when the written formal confirmation hasbeen released by Ponte Giulio S.p.A.

The goods remain property of Ponte Giulio company until the complete payment ofthese has been done.

Goods travel at risk of purchaser; the purchaser must control the goods on receiptand claim for any losses or breakages directly to the carrier or forwarding agency,even if the delivery has been managed directly by the seller.

Ponte Giulio company reserves the right to perform partial deliveries.The delivery terms accepted formally by the Ponte Giulio Export Division declared inthe order confirmation document, will be observed except such cases as strikes,accidents or other delays unavoidable or beyond our control. In these cases thepurchaser can not ask any compensation for damages or refunds.

Returned goods are not accepted without prior written consent of Ponte Giuliocompany. The authorised returned goods must be sent free delivery to the PonteGiulio warehouse – Orvieto and they will be recognized a 70% value of sales netprice, except any charge due to the customer’s carelessness.

The buyer accept the sales conditions terms at the order.

The claims will be taken in consideration with a register letter only, it should besent by mail not later than eight (8) days after the goods delivery.The dispatch postmark will be used as proof.

Any delivered and invoiced orders, even partially, will be managed by the salesconditions terms, this means that all payments must be set independently to thedelivery completion.

Generally “Ponte Giulio” company does not take into consideration requests ofarticles different from the standard appearing on the general catalogue/price-list.Nevertheless we reserve the right of verifying the feasibility of special requiredproducts after evaluation of the order importance.

Any order is subject to the formal approval of PONTE GIULIO export division.

The payments agreements are always listed in the invoice and must be set in thecurrency indicated. In case of the non-fulfilment of the payment conditions, it willallow the Ponte Giulio to ask additional charges for interest on arrears of payments,as it refers to the terms released by Euribor, a 6% of additional charge.

Guarantee

Ponte Giulio guarantees that all its products will be free of any manufacturing defect; for grabbars, bath accessories, seats and benches = a period of not less than 5 years; for showercurtain rails = a period of not less than 24 months; for adjustable mirrors = a period of notless than 12 months; please refer to the limited warranty policy available upon request.Ponte Giulio requires that any claim against the warranty be made in writing and reserves theright to evaluate the defect and cause before activating the guarantee. This guarantee islimited, at Ponte Giulio’s option; to replacement, repair or refund of the defective product.Ponte Giulio will not be responsible for cost associated with removal, replacement or returnof its products. Ponte Giulio does not authorize any representative or other person tosubstitute other condition or extentions to this guarantee.The period of the guarantee will begin from the original date of invoicing.Ponte Giulio will apply the warranty as long as the customer respects the followingconditions:

- Loading= do not exceed the recommended static load.

- Cleaning= do not use cleaning agent not approved by Ponte Giulio.

- Sun light UV= do not install product in direct sun light or expose to UV rays.

- Heat= do not expose or use heatguns, torches or other devices with temperatureexceeding 175°F

- Improper usage= do not use product for purposes other than what is recommended byPonte Giulio.

- Modification= do not modify any product without written authorization from Ponte Giulio.

- Replacement parts= do not use parts that are supplied or recommended by someoneother than Ponte Giulio.

- Improper storage= store products in safe and temperature controlled environementbetween 40° and 95°F.

- Improper installation= you are required to follow the published installation instructions.

- Vandalism= acts of vandalism such as; cutting, marking or burning are not covered underthis warranty.
