Jesus Touch GOD Still Heals Today

In Mark 1:23-28 talks about Jesus casting demons from an "Unclean Man".

And all who saw was amaze by what they saw. Then in Mark 1:29-39 talks about

Jesus went to the house of Simon and Andrew with James and John and healed

Simon's mother-in-law. When evening came ill and those who were demon filled

and the whole city gathered at the door and Jesus healed and cast out demons of

those who were there. Mark 1:40-45 talks about a leaper came to Jesus and asked

to be healed and he was.

How great that would be to have been there. God Still heals today.Sometimes it may not be when and how we want to be healed but, God will never

leave us or ever turn His back on His children.

JESUS Touch Faith Heals

In Mark 2:1-13 is a story all about Jesus healing a paralyzed man. You see Jesuswent back to a city called Capernaum. Several days afterward people heard that Jesus

was home and had all went and gathered around Jesus house where there had became no

more room to move. These four friends of the paralyzed man had carried their friend to

the house. When they saw no more room they went to the top of the house and cut a holein the roof, then lowered their friend in front of Jesus. When Jesus saw this man and saw

his friends faith Jesus said son your sins are forgiven (v.5 NASB) but that wasnt all

after Jesus question the scribes for reasoning why and how Jesus had thought He had the

authority to forgive this mans sins in verse 11 Jesus says I say to you, get up, pick upyour pallet and go home. (NASB) and in verse 12 it says that the man got up and picked

up his pallet and walked out so everyone could see that Jesus healed him.In Mark 5:25-34 the story of the woman who had a hemorrhage for twelve years

and seen many doctors. When see heard of Jesus and believed if she could just touch the

hem of Jesus clothes she would be healed. In the crowed streets she had been able to

touch Jesus cloak and at that moment the flowing of blood had stopped and she knewthat she was healed. Jesus asked in verse 30 who had touched Him. The woman ran to

him and fell down before Him. Jesus said Daughter; your faith has made you well; go in

peace and be healed of your affliction. (V.34 NASB)What does the two stories have in common other then healing? Well, both people

were healed by Faith. The Paralyzed Man was healed and forgiven by his friends faith.And the woman was healed by her faith. What does faith mean? Faith is trusting andbelieving in God in the good and bad times. Believing God is with you even through you

dont see or feel Him.

Questions to think about.. What does faith mean to you? Have you ever been in a situation where it took faith to get through it?

Jesus Touch Who Is Jesus

In Mark 4:35 41 Jesus and His disciples were on a boat crossing the water to theother side and Jesus fell asleep. While Jesus was asleep there was a dreadful storm. The

disciples were very scared that they woke up Jesus and He said to the wind and to the sea

Hush, be still. (V. 39 NASB) then Jesus Said to His disciples why are you afraid? Doyou still have no faith? After Jesus claimed the storm His disciples were amazed and

wonder who Jesus is?

Have you ever asked yourself who is Jesus? Of course, Jesus is the Son of God

and Jesus died a painful death for your and my sins so, anyone could go to heaven if theyaccepted Jesus into their life as their personal Savior. Which that alone is amazing

enough that Jesus loves everyone so much that He gave His life so we may have

everlasting life.Who else is Jesus? Jesus is a teacher. One example of this is Matthew 19:13-15

when Jesus disciples were turning away the children Jesus said Let the children alone,

and do not hinder them from coming to me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such asthese. (Matthew 19:14 NASB) Jesus was teaching His disciples and all around that

children matter. Another example is the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5-7. Jesus sits

down and teaches His disciples.Jesus was a Healer. He had healed many people in His life. Some of the people

Jesus had healed were a man born blind, 18 year old women who was crippled, and when

Jesus raised Jairus Daughter from the dead.The Man Born Blind (John 9:1-12) sat outside a gate begging until one day Jesus

came across they man and kneeled down, picked up dirt and spitted in it and made clay.Then Jesus took the clay and places it on the mans eyes. Jesus told the man to Go, wash

in the pool of Siloam. (V.7 NASB)Another example is the 18 year old cripple woman. (Luke 13:10-17) this woman

had went to Jesus in the Synagogue on the Sabbath to be healed because this woman

wasnt able to stand up straight. Jesus touched her and said Woman you are freed fromyour sickness. (V.12 NASB)

The last example I am going to use that shows Jesus as a healer is when He raised

Jairus daughter from the dead.(Luke 8:40-56) by the time Jesus got to the house JairusDaughter was already dead. The only people Jesus let come into the room was the

Mother, Father, Peter, John, and James. Jesus took the girl by the hand and said Child

arise. (V.54 NASB)Jesus is the Light of the World. In John 8:12(NASB) says then, Jesus again

spoke to them saying, I Am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in the

darkness, but will have the light of life.

Jesus is many things.

An Unspoken Voice

Please pray for me I live in Africa you see I am only just a child. I am poor,sick, hungry, and have no place to sleep. I am cold and scared, and my biggest

fear is I will not wake to see the new day. I wish I could know what it feels like

to be full. Please I ask pray for me and all my friends as we face this again

and again.

Take time to pray for a child like you in Africa this week.

Then pick a different country every week and pray for the children there.

Red, White, and Blue Stand Up For What Is True

911 the day that is fresh in my mind. The day it happened I was sitting in my classroomand watched the planes fly into the buildings over and over. It was the first time I really

thought about the words of the pledge to the American flag.

"I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to theRepublic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty

and Justice for all."

Those four words "One Nation Under God" this to me means that God is watching Overme and you and everyone because God loves everyone and even through bad things dohappens God is right there waiting for you with His arms opened wide to embrace you.

What does "one Nation under God" mean to you?????

Hello Down Below

I am sitting on the fourth floor at a doctors office waiting

room. I decide to sit by the window. As I look out all the people

look as children. Now if only being on the fourth floor can givethat image I wonder how we must look to God. We must look

like specks of dust. However, I believe that God can see our

faces and hear our voices and even count the very hairs on ourheads in the mist of the noise.

The Picture Outside

The wind is dancing in the leaves. The rain is playing a soft sound.

The birds are singing all around. Theres a glow off the mountains

a sparkle in the sky. A shine bounces off the stop sign. A chillingnoise came from the woods. The trees moved backwards and

forewords. The flowers in the meadow are bright and full of color.

The waves in the ocean light are cool and smooth. Without doubt

there is an eagle flying high in the sky towards the sunset which is

full of many colors: purple, blue orange, and many others too.

Theres a quiet noise in the night. Then a noise came that gave me

a great fright. The moon shines down among the town. A house on

top of the mountain is by a waterfall that runs into a steam weretwo bears are fishing. Behind the mountain behind the house there

is a wonderful red tree and it sparkles in the sunlight as the sun

peeks over the mountain top.

Ok, I Tell the Truth

Everywhere

I look all around and what do I see the beauty that God

made for me. The wonderful color, The glitter in the sky,

Oh, what a great surprise. The leaves from the trees aredancing around on the ground. The water sounds of a

song. The birds sing while the sun smiles among the

earth like a little hug. When the moon is up and I am

asleep dreaming of lifes sweet mystery. When the

morning comes and I am awake I can see the Lords

treasure through everything I see. I dont have to seek

very far because I see a great Painting by the Lord rightout my door.

In The Dark May I Be Your Light

I turn my light out and I pray Dear LORD, before I fall asleep

tonight I pray that I will be your light when I awake.

I raise my head at the sound of the alarm clock and I pray before

my feet touch the ground Dear Father, please guide me through

this day that I might be your light oh lord, please help me getthrough the day.

As I get into the car and backup out of the driveway. I turn on the

radio and began to pray Dear God, you are so worthy of Praise.

May I show your wondrous light and beauty throughout my life.

As I walk in the door to my house and head to the dinner table and

sit down and pray Dear Father thank you oh so much for the food

you have blessed us with. May we show your light in everything we

do tonight.

As I lay my head down and turn off my light I pray Dear LORD,

before I fall asleep tonight I pray that I will be your light when I

awake.

Monkey In The Middle

I was thinking about the game Monkey in the middle and how

every time I would play the game when I was younger I would get

so happy when I caught the object and got to toss it over or under

the persons head. But, every time someone who caught the objectand I had to go in the middle all I thought about was catching the

object again to be out of the middle . it always felt like forever to

catch that object. It reminds me that sometime

Some times we want something so bad we cant wait till it happens

and we sometimes if not, every time miss the fun on what is

happening at that moment. Gods plan and will is so much better

then we can imagine. (Jeremiah 29:11-13)

Youre an Acorn But, What Acorn are you?

There was this cute little Squirrel under an acorn tree. As I stoodthere looking at the squirrel I started to wonder what the squirrel

was doing. Well, as I watch the squirrel pick up an acorn that

looked spoiled on the outside. The squirrel opened it saw it was

good on the inside and placed it on the ground gently. Then the

squirrel came to one that looked good on the outside but when he

opened it he threw it on the ground because it was spoiled inside.

The squirrel moved on and kept doing the same thing over and

over till the squirrel came across an acorn that not only was good

on the inside but, had this glow to it on the outside. Almost like theinside coming through on the outside. The squirrel stood still for a

moment then continued.

The squirrel reminds me of God and we are the acorns. God

doesnt look on our outside He made us He knows what it looks

like. He forces on our inside, whats in your heart. So, the question

is which acorn are you? The first, who wasnt the prettiest thing to

look at but, was good inside and was willing to be used by God?Are you the second Acorn, whose outside is a mask to the inside

which is dead and bitter and is not willing to let go of the past?

Are you the third one who is not perfect but has an open and

willing Heart to be used By God and lives their life for God

everyday, every place?

If youre the 2nd

one or even the 1st

God is can heal all wounds.

Outside Looking In

Imagine youre standing in front of a window and your looking in. you see a

person that you wish you were. Now you think to yourself if I just hador if I could just do or if I could just become. You were be a

better person and happier. But, thats not true because God made you the

way you are and God dont make junk. In fact God made you in His Image.

(Genesis 1:26-27) God loves you so much that He gave His one and only son

to come to the world to die for everyones sins so we could one day go toheaven if we ask Jesus into our lives as our personal savior. (John 3:16-17)

Challenge:

Make a list of things you like to do and things you are good at. Then look in

a mirror.

After you look in a mirror write down what you see.

Ask yourself these Questions:

What do I like to do?What are my Good Qualities?What makes me who I am?

A Long Look in the Mirror

In the Bible it talks about loving your neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 7:7-12, Luke 6:31) how can you love your neighbor as yourself if you dont like

yourself?

Ever since I can remember I was in church. I had the privilege of having two

Christian Parents who loved me. I didnt love myself. Somewhere growingup I started disliking myself. I thought I was ugly, fat, stupid, you could

even say I hated myself. I loved (and still do) God with all my heart, mind,and soul. I loved everyone around me, but I didnt love who God made me.

This went on till my senior year in HighSchool. I went to a spiritual liferetreat at what was then Nazarene Acres. Thats when my eyes were opened.

I finally saw how God saw me. I realize that to truly be able to love someoneyou have to be able to love who God has made you. It is one of those things

that just goes hand in hand.

We are art and God is the Artist. Its like you telling an artist that his

painting is Ugly and stupid. You wouldnt tell an artist that he made amistake on his master piece because his master piece is what he thought, felt,

and painted. So, why tell God He made a mistake on you?

God loves you so very much and He doesnt want to see you hurting. My

mom use to say that God doesnt make any junk. That means God made you

and arent Junk youre a diamond in the rough.

Right now youre Just a Lump of Clay just like the rest of us but, God seeswhat youre going to be.

God speaks do you Listen?

As I looked outside the car window today I saw a

fingerprint. In matter of fact Gods fingerprint all around.

There it was right in front of me in the trees as they were

waving in the wind, in the grass as it stood still. I saw the

fingerprints of God in the people in the streets today thatwould normally be looked down on for were they lived

rather then who they are. I saw a stop sign and heard a

voice in my heart that said are you willing to trust me,

follow me, love me, and obey me?

Are you willing to trust, follow, love, and obey God?

Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

In Just a moment everything can change. You can be in

love, get your homework done, many other things can

happen. In just a moment you can turn into the most

likeable person or to the most hated person. See in every

moment is based on every choice you make. With every

choice you make has a moment that changes what you was

yesterday to who you are today. When in the moments it

almost happens in less then a blink of an eye. In the

moments where you feel life a fish out of the water are the

moments you grow, you learn, you seek for an better

understanding. What you are today you will not be

tomorrow because we either learn from yesterday or we

live in yesterday. Its your choice How will you spend

today?

Hey, whats Heavens Number?

What is prayer? If you think about it prayer is basically having a conversation on

the phone with a friend. You see being a Christian is having a relationship with Jesus. So,dont you talk and call your friends? So, why wouldnt you talk to God? Prayer is a twoway conversation.

When you pray to God it doesnt matter how much you say or how many big

words you used. The only thing that matters is that you speak from your heart.

There are many verses in the bible about prayer. Matthew 6:5-15 is the LordsPrayer. The Lords Prayer is an example of how we should pray.

Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come your will bedone, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our

debts as we forgiven our debtors and do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from

evil. For yours is the kingdom, and power, and the glory forever. Amen.(Matthew 6:9-13)

The first time I read this passage I didnt understand it fully till I broke it downand put it in my own words. This is the way it came out when I put it in my own words.

Dear Father you are wonderful. You deserve all praise. Your name is like honey on mylips. Lord let your will be done in my life. Thank you for everything you have done for

me. Thank you for the food you have provided for us today. Please forgive me of my sins.

Help me to forgive those who has done wrong to me. Please help me when Im tempted.

You are holy, worthy, and beyond anything I could ever imagine. You are never

changing, your forever. Amen.

Like My Clothes?

As Christians we are face with a war in fact a Spiritual War.

Every war is made up with battles and we face these battles daily.

Did you know that god gives us an armor to face these battles?

In Ephesians 6:10-23 talks all about this armor which is

called The Armor of God. The pieces of The Armor of God are the

Breastplate of Righteousness to protect your heart from bullets of

unmoral temptation. The Boots of the Gospel Peace to spread the

Gospel to everyone you are around. The Shield of Faith to block

the arrows of doubt. The Helmet of Salvation to protect the

knowledge of what Jesus has done for you and the world. The

Sword of the Spirit to slay the beast of lies. A two way radio

(Prayer) to communicate with the commander and chief named

God.

You may be wondering how can I put on the Armor of God?

It doesnt matter how old or how young you are everyone needs

The Armor of God. I was once challenged to wake up everymorning and put on the Armor of God piece by piece. With that I

challenge you to do the following:

1.Read Ephesians 6: 10-242.Write down each piece of The Armor of God

3.Place the list anywhere you will see it every morning and puteach piece of the Armor on before you get started with your

day

4.Pray for Gods Guidance for the day and then get your daystarted.
