Telemedicine is a rapidly developing application of clinical
medicine where medical information is transferred through the
phone or the Internet and sometimes other networks for the
purpose of consulting, and sometimes remote medical procedures
or examinations.
Telemedicine is the use of telecommunication and information
technologies in order to provide clinical health care at a distance.
It helps eliminate distance barriers and can improve access to
medical services that would often not be consistently available in
distant rural communities. It is also used to save lives in critical
care and emergency situations.

Telemedicine Center was started in Government medical college in 2009 .
And now this Telemedicine Centre is functioning properly.

specialist consultations, Tele follow-up and Access to Digital Library
etc.
