Indicaciones de seguridad

Riesgo de incendio!No coloque el Cargador de pilas universal:• en lugares donde exista una incidencia de rayos

solares directa. En caso contrario podría sobre-calentarse el cargador de pilas universal y dañarse de forma irreparable.

• en proximidades de fuentes de calor. Formanparte por ej. hornos, ventiladores y aparatos si-milares tales como aperturas de ventilación y demás aparatos eléctricos. En caso contrario elcargador de pilas universal podría dañarse deforma irreparable.

• en entornos húmedos o cerca del agua. En casocontrario podría penetrar humedad dentro delcargador de pilas universal. Existe riesgo de unadescarga eléctrica e incluso un incendio!

• Cargue exclusivamente pilas recargables de lostipos „Ni-Cd“ y „Ni-MH“. No cargue nuncaacumuladores de otro tipo o pilas que no seanrecargables. Estas no son aptas para recargar.Las pilas que no son recargables pueden sobre-calentarse e incluso explotar. Se podría dañarel cargador de pilas universal y las pilas recar-gables insertadas de modo irreparable. ¡Existepeligro de lesiones!

¡Peligro de descarga eléctrica!No coloque el Cargador de pilas universal:• cerca del agua como p. ej. bañeras o piscinas.

Si penetra agua en el cargador de pilas univer-sal, se puede dañar el aparato de forma irreparable.

• Antes de limpiar el cargador de pilas universal,deberá extraer el cable de red de la base deenchufe. De esta forma evitará una descargaeléctrica. Si a pesar de prestar mucha atención,penetrase agua/humedad en el cargador de pilas universal, extraiga de la base de enchufela clavija de red de inmediato.

¡Peligro de lesiones!• Guarde las pilas recargables siempre fuera del

alcance de los niños! Ya que por lo contrarioexiste riesgo de que los niños pueden tragarsepilas recargables! ¡Existe peligro de muertedebido a los componentes integrantes de las pilas recargables!

• No deje nunca el cargador de pilas recargablesdesatendido durante la carga de las pilas recargables.

• Las pilas recargables se pueden calentar duran-te la carga. ¡No toque nunca pilas recargablescalientes! ¡Por lo contrario existe riesgo de que-maduras! Extraiga por consiguiente después dela carga primero el cable de red del cargadorde pilas universal de la base de enchufe. Dejeque se enfríe a continuación las pilas, antes deretirarlas del cargador de pilas universal.

• Si se encuentra el cable de red defectuoso,encomiende a su comercial de asistencia técnicaque lo sustituya con el fin de evitar riesgos.

• El cargador de pilas universal no contiene pie-zas que puedan ser mantenidas por el usuario.Si se abre la carcasa del cargador de pilas uni-versal, se extinguirá la garantía! Si necesita unareparación, póngase en contacto con el centrode servicio de nuestra marca más próximo.

• ¡Por los daños derivados por la apertura delcarcasa, intentos de reparación por personalespecialista no calificado o por el uso indebidodel cargador de pilas universal, no nos respon-saiblizamos y perderá el derecho a la garantía!

• Sobretodo en pilas recargables viejas se puedeproducir un derrame del ácido de las pilas. Porconsiguiente deberá retirar todas las pilas si nova a usar el cargador de pilas universal duranteun tiempo prolongado. Así protege el cargadorde pilas universal contra el derrame de ácido delas pilas.

• No permita utilizar el aparato a personas (inclui-dos los niños) cuyas facultades físicas, sensoria-les o mentales, así como su falta de conocimien-tos o de experiencia, les impida hacer un usoseguro del mismo si no están bajo vigilanciapor una persona encargada de su seguridad ohayan sido instruidos como utilizar el aparatocorrectamente

• Los niños deben estar bajo vigilancia para asegurarse de que no juegan con el aparato.

Manipulación de las pilas recargables• No utilice pilas dañadas (corrosionadas).• Si se derraman las pilas evite el contacto con los

ojos. Ello produce irritaciones de la piel.• Si se ha derramado una pila recargable en el

cargador de pilas universal, limpielo primerocon un paño seco. Lleve puesta gafas de protección!

Puesta en funcionamiento

• Compruebe durante la puesta en servicio elvolumen de suministro si está integro y en sucaso si presenta daños visibles.

• Coloque el cargador de pilas universal sobreuna base plana recta, antideslizante y resistentea ralladuras.

Aviso:Este aparato está provisto de pies de goma antides-lizantes. Como las superficies de los muebles estánhechas con distintos materiales y son tratadas conproductos de conservación muy diferentes, no sepuede excluir totalmente que algunos de estos materiales contengan ingredientes que ataquen yreblandezcan los pies de goma. Dado el caso, coloque una base antideslizante debajo de los pies del aparato.

• Compare los datos técnicos con los de sucompañía de suministro eléctrico. Si concuerdaconecte el cable de red a una base de enchufe.Los LED parpadean tres veces en color amarillo.El cargador de pilas universal está ahora listopara funcionar.

Carga de pilas recargables

Peligro!Cargue exclusivamente pilas recargables de los ti-pos „Ni-Cd“ y „Ni-MH“. No cargue nunca acumu-ladores de otro tipo o pilas que no sean recarga-bles. Estas no son aptas para recargar. Por lo contrario se podría dañar el cargador de pi-las universal y las pilas recargables insertadas demodo irreparable. ¡Existe riesgo de incendio asícomo de explosión!

Indicación:Preste atención de insertar las pilas recargablesconforme a su polaridad en los compartimentos delos compartimentos de carga. Por lo contrario no sepodrán cargar las pilas recargables.

• Inserte las pilas recargables dentro de los com-partimentos de carga.

• Presione la pila de tipo bloque de 9 V dentrodel compartimento de carga hasta escucharcomo encaja.

De este modo puede cargar individualmente de 1 a 8 pilas: • 4 x del tipo C o bien del tipo D en los comparti-

mentos de carga de 1 hasta 4, con 2 x tipo 9Volt de bloque adicional en los compartimentosde carga 5 y 6,

o• 6 x del tipo AA con los compartimentos de car-

ga de 1 hasta 4, con 2 x tipo 9 Volt de bloqueadicional en los compartimentos de carga 5 y 6.

• El proceso de carga comienza ahora. El carga-dor de pilas universal dispone de un LED paracada compartimento en el compartimento decarga. Los LEDs de los compartimentos de cargarespectivos muestran el estado de carga decada una de las pilas recargables.

• En los primeros 5 segundos el cargador de pilasuniversal realiza una prueba rápida de capacidad:- Los LED del compartimento de carga lucen encolor ámbar: Capacidad entre 20%–80%.

- Los LED del compartimento de carga lucen encolor rojo: Capacidad inferior al 20%.

- Los LED del compartimento de carga lucen encolor verde: Capacidad superior al 80%.

Si se ha comprobado la capacidad de carga, comienza el proceso de carga.

Las distintas visualizaciones tienen el significado siguiente:

El LED parpadea alternativamente rojo y verde: Las pilas recargable son descargadas durante un tiempo máx de 10 minutos (Función de refresco).

El LED verde parpadea: Los acumuladoresson cargados con una corriente de carga reducida con carga por impulso durante 3 minutos aprox..

El LED se ilumina en rojo permanente: Las pilas recargables se están cargando.

EL LED se ilumina en verde permanente: Las pilas recargables están cargadas porcompleto.

El LED parpadea rojo:Las pilas recargables insertadas no se encuentran colocadas correctamente en el compartimento de carga o bien están defectuosas.

Advertencia: Si se cargan en los compartimentos de carga externos de tipo C o bien D, el estado de serviciose muestra por los LEDs interiores respectivos.

¡Advertencia!Las pilas recargables se pueden calentar durante lacarga. ¡No toque nunca pilas recargables calien-tes! ¡Existe peligro de quemaduras!

• Extraiga el cable de red del cargador de pilasuniversal de la base de enchufe y deje que seenfríen las pilas recargables.

A continuación podrá retirar las pilas cargadas delcargador de pilas universal.

Tiempos de carga mediaDependiendo del tipo, edad y estado de cargaresidual de las pilas recargables, el proceso de re-carga puede tener tiempos diferentes. Los tiemposde carga medios los puede consultar en la tablaadjunta. Tenga en cuenta de que los tiemposindicados son sólo a titulo orientativo.

Control de carga automática/carga de mantenimientoEl cargador de pilas universal controla el tiempo decarga para las pilas recargables del tipo Ni-Cd y Ni-MH por separado. Este control está basado enel procedimiento –Δ U („menos Delta U“).Con Delta Δ se define en las matemáticas lasdiferencias.„Menos Delta U“ significa en este caso un diferencia de tensión negativa.Esta detección de final de carga aprovecha losefectos siguientes:Si se carga una pila recargable (acumulador) concorriente constante, su tensión va aumentando pro-gresivamente. Si está la pila recargable llena, sutensión alcanza un máximo y produce una caídaen caso de que continúe el flujo de corriente ligera-mente. Esta ligera caída de tensión es detectadapor la electrónica de carga y el proceso de cargaconcluye. El cargador de pilas universal conmutaautomáticamente a „carga de mantenimiento“. Estoquiere decir que las baterías ya no se cargan concorriente continua, sino con breves impulsos de corriente. De este modo, se impide la descargaautomática y las baterías se mantienen en un estado de carga completa.

Solucionar anomalías de función

El cargador de pilas universal no reacciona• Compruebe si se ha insertado el cable de red

correctamente en la base de enchufe.• Compruebe si la base de enchufe tiene tensión.

Conecte simplemente para la prueba cualquierotro aparato en esta base de enchufe.

Las pilas recargables insertadas no se cargan• Compruebe si las pilas recargables han sido

insertadas conforme a su polaridad. • Compruebe si ha insertado para la carga pilas

apropiadas en el cargador de pilas recarga-bles. Para la carga son aptas exclusivamente pilas recargables con capacidad de carga deNi-Cd y Ni-MH de los tipos AAA/AA/C/D ybloque de 9 V.

• Extraiga el cable de red de la base de enchufey deje que se enfríe el aparato, ya que es posible que se haya disparado el control detemperatura. El control de temperatura vigilapara que el proceso de carga se interrumpa tan pronto como una batería alcanza una temperatura demasiado elevada.

Otras anomalías de funcionamientoContacte con su comercial de asistencia técnicacercano en caso de que:• no se solucionen las anomalías de función según

lo descrito• o bien si durante el funcionamiento del carga-

dor de pilas universal muestra otras anomalíasde función.

Limpieza

Limpie la carcasa del cargador de pilas universalexclusivamente con un paño seco. Utilice en casode suciedad persistente un paño ligeramente húme-do. Preste atención de que durante la limpieza nopenetre humedad dentro del cargador de pilas uni-versal! No limpie nunca el interior del compartimen-to de carga con algo húmedo. Utilice en cambio unpincel suave y limpio para la limpieza. No utiliceen ningún caso productos de limpieza químicos oabrasivos.

Evacuación

En ningún caso deberá tirar el aparatoa la basura doméstica. Este productoestá sometido a la directiva europea2002/96/EC.

Elimine el aparato a través de una empresa de evacuación de basuras autorizada o por medio delcentro de evacuación de basuras municipal.Tenga en cuenta las normativas actuales en vigor.En caso de duda póngase en contacto con el centro de evacuación de basuras.

¡Evacuación de las pilas!Las pilas no deben evacuarse en la basura domésti-ca. Cada usuario está obligado por ley de evacuaro entregar las/os pilas/acumuladoresen un centro de recogida de su ayuntamiento/barrio o en el comercio. Esta obligación tiene el objetivo de que las pilas puedan eliminarse de for-ma ecológica. Devuelva las pilas/acumula-doressólo en estado sin carga.

El material de embalaje debe desecharsede forma respetuosa con el medio ambiente.

Garantía y servicio

Con este aparato recibe usted 3 años de garantíadesde la fecha de compra. El aparato ha sido fabri-cado cuidadosamente y ha sido probado antes desu entrega. Guarde el comprobante de caja comojustificante de compra. Si necesitara hacer uso dela garantía, póngase en contacto por teléfono consu punto de servicio habitual. Éste es el único modo de garantizar un envío gratuito.

La garantía cubre los defectos de fabricación o delmaterial, pero no las piezas sujetas a desgaste ylos daños sufridos por las piezas frágiles. Este pro-ducto ha sido diseñado exclusivamente para el usoparticular y no para el uso industrial. • Caricate esclusivamente pile ricaricabili al „Ni-Cd“ e al „Ni-MH“. Non caricate mai piledi atro tipo o batterie non ricaricabili. Questeultime non sono adatte a venir caricate. Le pilenon ricaricabili potrebbero surriscaldarsi edesplodere. Il caricatore universale per pile ele pile in esso inserite potrebbero veniredanneggiati in modo irreparabile. Sussiste ilpericolo di lesioni!

Pericolo di scossa elettrica!Non installate il caricatore universale per pile:• nelle immediate vicinanze dell’acqua, per es.

vicino a vasche da bagno o piscine. Se nelcaricatore universale per pile penetra dell’ac-qua, l’apparecchio potrebbe venire danneggiato in modo irreparabile.

• Prima di pulire il caricatore universale per pilestaccate il cavo di allacciamento alla rete dallapresa di corrente. In tal modo evitate il pericolodi una scossa elettrica. In caso nonostante tuttele precauzioni dovesse penetrare nel caricatoreuniversale per pile dell’ acqua/dell’umidità,staccate immediatamente la spina dalla presa.

Pericolo di lesioni!• Conservate sempre le pile lontano dalla portata

dei bambini! Vi è pericolo che i bambini ingoinole pile! A causa dei componenti velenosi dellepile vi è pericolo di morte!

• Durante la carica delle pile non lasciate mai ilcaricatore universale per pile incustodito.

• Durante la carica le pile potrebbero diventarebollenti. Non toccate mai le pile! Vi potrebbe essere pericolo di ustioni! Dopo la carica quindistaccate innanzitutto il cavo di allacciamentoalla rete del caricatore universale per pile dallapresa di corrente. Lasciate quindi raffreddare lepile prima di estrarle dal caricatore universaleper pile.

• Se il cavo di allacciamento alla rete è difettoso,fatelo immediatamente sostituire da un nostropartner per l’assistenza ai fini di evitare pericoli.

• Il caricatore universale per pile non contieneparti la cui manutenzione possa venire effettuatadall’utente. Se l’involucro del caricatore univer-sale per pile viene aperto, la garanzia si estin-gue! Per le riparazioni, rivolgersi a un nostropartner di assistenza nella zona di competenza.

• Per danni causati dall’apertura dell’involucro, datentativi di riparazione da parte di personalenon qualificato o di impiego del caricatore uni-versale per pile non adeguato allo scopo nonviene assunta alcuna responsabilità/garanzia!

• In particolare nel caso di pile vecchie potrebbefuoriuscire dell’acido di batteria. Rimuovete quin-di tutte le pile quando non utilizzate il caricatoreuniversale per pile per lungo tempo. In tal modoproteggete il caricatore universale per pile dadanni causati dalla fuoriuscita di acido di batteria.

Maneggio di batterie ricaricabili• Non utilizzate pile danneggiate (corrose).• Se le pile presentano fuoriuscite di acido, evitate

il contatto con la pelle. Esso porterebbe adirritazioni cutanee.

• Se si è verificata una fuoriuscita di acido da unapila all’interno del caricatore universale per pile,pulite l’apparecchio con un panno asciutto.Indossate guanti!

Messa in funzione

• Prima della messa in esercizio controllate chequanto consegnato sia completo e che esso nonpresenti eventuali danni visibili.

• Appoggiate il caricatore universale per pile suuna base diritta, in piano, antigraffio e antiscivolo.

Avviso:questo apparecchio è provvisto di piedini di gomma antisdrucciolo. Poiché le superfici dei mobilisono composte dei materiali più svariati e vengonotrattate con i prodotti più disparati, non si può esclu-dere completamente che alcuni di questi prodotticontengano componenti in grado di attaccare eammorbidire la plastica. Collocare eventualmenteun supporto antisdrucciolo sotto i piedini dell'apparecchio.

• Confrontate i dati tecnici con quelli del gestoredella rete di alimentazione elettrica. In caso dicoincidenza infilate il cavo di allacciamento allarete in una presa di corrente. Le spie LED lam-peggiano tre volte. Ora il caricatore per pile èpronto per l’esercizio.

Caricare le pile

Pericolo!Caricate esclusivamente pile ricaricabili al „Ni-Cd“ e al „Ni-MH“. Non caricate mai pile di altro tipo o batterie non ricaricabili. Queste ultimenon sono adatte a venir caricate. Altrimenti il cari-catore universale per pile e le pile/batterie in essoinserite potrebbero venire danneggiati in modo irreparabile. Vi è pericolo di incendio nonché diesplosione!

Avvertenza:Badate ad inserire le pile negli scomparti delle sedidi carica posizionandole in accordo con la loro polarità. Altrimenti esse non vengono caricate.

• Introducete le pile nelle sedi di carica. • Inserite le pile a blocco da 9 V nelle sedi di

carica finché non scattano in posizione.

Possono venire caricate individualmente da 1 a 8pile: • 4 x pile di tipo C o D nelle sedi di carica da

1 a 4, con in aggiunta 2 x pile a blocco da 9Volt nelle sedi di carica 5 e 6,

o• 6 x pile di tipo AA o AAA nelle sedi di carica da

1 a 4, con in aggiunta 2 x pile a blocco da 9nelle sedi di carica 5 e 6.

• Ora ha inizio il processo di carica. Il caricatoreuniversale per pile possiede un LED per ogniscomparto della sede di carica. I LED dellerelative sedi di carica indicano lo stato di caricadelle singole pile.

• Nei primi 5 secondi il caricatore universale perpile effettua un test rapido della capacità:- I LED della sede di carica si illuminano con lucearancione: capacità tra il 20% e l’80%.

- I LED della sede di carica si illuminano con lucerossa: capacità inferiore al 20%.

- I LED della sede di carica si illuminano con luceverde: capacità superiore all’80%.

Una volta che è stata constatata la capacità dellepile inizia il processo di carica.

Le diverse indicazioni luminose hanno i seguenti significati:

Il LED lampeggia con un’alternanza di lucerossa e luce verde: Le pile vengono scaricate per un massimo di10 minuti. (Funzione di refresh)

IIl LED lampeggia in verde: gli accumulatorivengono caricati tramite carica a impulsi perca. 3 minuti, con una corrente di carica ridotta.

Il LED è illuminato permanentemente con lucerossa:Carica delle pile in corso.

Il LED è illuminato permanentemente con luceverde:La carica delle pile è completata.

Il LED lampeggia con luce rossa: Le pile non sono state inserite correttamentenella sede di carica o sono guaste.

Nota: Se nelle sedi di carica alle estremità vengono cari-cate pile del tipo C o D, le condizioni di funziona-mento vengono indicate dal relativo LED interno.

Avvertenza!Durante la carica le pile potrebbero diventare boll-enti. Non toccate mai le pile! Sussiste il pericolo di ustioni!

Questo comando si basasul procedimento –Δ U („minus Delta U“).Con il Delta Δ si definiscono nella matematica ledifferenze.„Minus Delta U“ significa in questo caso unadifferenza di tensione negativa.Questo riconoscimento della conclusione delprocesso di carica sfrutta il seguente effetto:se una pila viene caricata con corrente costante, lasua tensione continua ad aumentare. Tuttavia, unavolta che una pila è completamente carica, la suatensione raggiunge un valore massimo e poi calaleggermente in caso continuasse a venire alimenta-ta con corrente elettrica. Eliminare le anomalie difunzionamento

Il caricatore universale per pile non mostraalcun funzionamento• Controllate se il cavo di allacciamento alla rete

è correttamente inserito nella presa di corrente.• Controllate se alla presa arriva corrente. A tale

scopo collegate a questa presa un altro apparecchio elettrico funzionante.

Le pile inserite non vengono caricate• Controllate se le pile sono state inserite

correttamente in base alla loro polarità. • Controllate se avete inserito nel caricatore uni-

versale per pile delle pile adatte a venir carica-te. Sono adatte a venir caricate esclusivamentepile caricabili al Ni-Cd e al Ni-MH di tipoAAA/AA/C/D e a blocco da 9 V.

• Staccate il cavo di allacciamento alla rete dallapresa di corrente e fate raffreddare l’apparec-chio, in quanto probabilmente è stato attivato ildispositivo di controllo della temperatura. Il controllo della temperatura interrompe il procedimento di carica non appena l'apparecchio raggiunge una temperatura eccessiva

Pulizia

Pulite l’involucro del caricatore universale per pileesclusivamente con un panno asciutto. In caso disporco ostinato utilizzate un panno leggermenteumido. Badate che durante la pulizia non penetridell’umidità nel caricatore universale per pile! È as-solutamente vietato pulire l’interno delle sedi di cari-ca con acqua o altri liquidi. Per pulirle utilizzate in-vece un pennello pulito e morbido. Non utilizzate inalcun caso detergenti graffianti o chimici.

Smaltimento

Non gettare per alcun motivo l’appa-recchio insieme ai normali rifiuti domestici. Questo prodotto sottostàalla direttiva europea 2002/96/EC.

• Nunca deixe o carregador das pilhas universal,durante o carregamento das pilhas, sem vigi-lância.

• As pilhas podem ficar quentes durante o carre-gamento. Nunca toque nas pilhas quentes!Caso contrário, existe perigo de queimaduras!Por isso, após o carregamento, retire o cabo derede do carregador de pilhas universal da toma-da. De seguida, deixe as pilhas arrefecer antesde as retirar do carregador de pilhas universal.

• Se o cabo de rede estiver danificado, deveráser imediatamente substituído por um parceirode assistência para evitar danos.

• O carregador de pilhas universal não contémpeças que necessitem de manutenção por partedo utilizador. Se a caixa do carregador de pil-has universal for aberta, a garantia extingue-se!No caso de necessitar de uma reparação, dirija-se a um dos nossos parceiros de assistência.

• Por danos devido à abertura da caixa, tentati-vas de reparação por não qualificados ou poruma utilização incorrecta do carregador de pil-has universal não são assumidas quaisquer re-sponsabilidades ou garantia!

• Especialmente pilhas antigas podem verter oácido que contêm. Por isso, retire todas as pilhasse não utilizar o carregador de pilhas universalpor um período prolongado. Dessa forma, pro-tege o carregador de pilhas universal de danoscausados pelo ácido que pode verter.

Manuseio com pilhas recarregáveis• Não utilize quaisquer pilhas danificadas

(corroídas).• Se as pilhas verterem, evite o contacto com a

pele. Caso contrário, pode causar irritações depele.

• Se uma pilha verter no carregador de pilhasuniversal, limpe-o com um pano seco. Use luvasde protecção!

Colocação em funcionamento

• Verifique o volume de fornecimento, antes dacolocação em funcionamento, quanto ao seupreenchimento e eventuais danos visuais.

• Coloque o carregador de pilhas universal numabase direita, plana, resis-tente a riscos e antider-rapante.

Nota:Este aparelho encontra-se equipado com bases deborracha antiderrapantes. Visto que as superfíciesdo mobiliário são produzidas em diversos materiaise tratadas com os mais variados produtos de con-servação, não está totalmente excluído que algunsdestes materiais contenham componentes que dani-fiquem e amoleçam as bases em borracha. Se ne-cessário, coloque uma base antiderrapante sob asbases do aparelho.

• Compare os dados técnicos com os do seu for-necedor de energia. No caso de concordância,ligue o cabo de rede a uma tomada. A luz ama-rela dos LED pisca três vezes. O carregador depilhas universal está operacional.

Carregar pilhas

Perigo!Carregue unicamente pilhas recarregáveis dos ti-pos „Ni-Cd“ e „Ni-MH“. Nunca carregue pilhas deoutro tipo ou pilhas não recarregáveis. Estas nãosão apropriadas para recarregar. Caso contrário, ocarregador de pilhas universal e as pilhas/bateriasinseridas podem ficar irreparavelmente danifica-dos. Existe perigo de um incêndio, bem como peri-go de explosão!

Indicação:Certifique-se de que as pilhas são colocadas deacordo com a polaridade nos compartimentos decarregamento. Caso contrário, as pilhas não sãocarregadas.

• Coloque as pilhas nos compartimentos de carre-gamento.

• Pressione as pilhas do tipo bloco 9 V nos com-partimentos de carregamento até ouvir um cli-que.

Podem ser carregadas individualmente 1a 8 pilhas: • 4 x do tipo C ou do tipo D nos compartimentos

de carregamento 1 a 4 adicionalmente com 2 x do tipo bloco 9 Volt nos compartimento decarregamento 5 e 6,

ou• 6 x do tipo AA ou AAA com os compartimentos

de carregamento 1 a 4 adicionalmente com 2 x do tipo bloco 9 Volt nos compartimentos decarregamento 5 e 6.

• Agora o processo de carregamento inicia. Ocarregador de pilhas universal possui um LEDpara cada compartimento de carregamento.Os LEDs dos respectivos compartimentos decarregamento indicam o estado de carga daspilhas individuais.

• Nos primeiros 5 segundos o carregador depilhas universal efectua um teste rápido dacapacidade da pilha:- O LED do compartimento de carregamentoacende em cor de laranja: Capacidade entre20%–80%.

- O LED do compartimento de carregamentoacende a vermelho: Capacidade inferior a20%.

- O LED do compartimento de carregamentoacende a verde: Capacidade superior a 80%.

Se a capacidade das pilhas estiver determinada, oprocesso de carregamento inicia.

As indicações diferentes têm os seguintes significados.O LED pisca alternadamente a vermelho e averde: As pilhas são descarregadas no máx. duran-te 10 minutos. (Função de renovação)

O LED pisca a verde: as pilhas são carregadas com uma carga impulso durante aprox. 3 minutos, com umacorrente de carregamento reduzida.

O LED acende constantemente a vermelho:As pilhas são carregadas.

O LED acende constantemente a verde:As pilhas estão completamente carregadas.

O LED pisca a vermelho: As pilhas inseridas não estão correctamentecolocadas no compartimento de carrega-mento ou avariadas.

Controlo automático de carga/Carregamento de compensaçãoEste carregador de pilhas universal define separa-damente o tempo de carregamento para pilhasrecarregáveis do tipo Ni-Cd e Ni-MH. Esta definiç-ão baseia-se no processo –Δ U („menos Delta U“).Delta Δ designa-se na matemática como sendo asdiferenças.„Menos Delta U“ significa, neste caso, uma difere-nça negativa de tensão.Esta detecção de conclusão de carga tem como oseguinte efeito positivo:Se uma pilha é carregada com corrente constante,a tensão continua sempre aumentar. Se uma pilha estiver completamente carregada,então a tensão alcança um máximo mas volta adiminuir ligeiramente com a continuaçãode corrente. Esta queda de tensão ligeira é detecta-da pelo sistema electrónico de carregamento e ocarregamento é terminado. O carregador de pilhasuniversal muda automaticamente para „Carrega-mento de compensação“. Isso significa que as pil-has recarregáveis já não estão a ser carregadascom corrente de regime permanente, mas sim combreves impulsos eléctricos. Deste modo, é evitado odescarregamento automático e as pilhas recarregá-veis mantêm-se com a carga completa.

Eliminar avarias de função

O carregador de pilhas universal não indicaqualquer função• Verifique se o cabo de rede está correctamente

encaixado na tomada.• Verifique se a tomada tem corrente. Para tal, li-

gue outro aparelho, que não esteja avariado,a essa tomada.

As pilhas colocadas não são carregadas• Verifique se as pilhas estão colocadas de acor-

do com a polaridade. • Verifique se colocou pilhas apropriadas no car-

regador de pilhas universal. Para carregamentosão apropriadas unicamente as pilhas Ni-Cd eNi-MH dos tipos AAA/AA/C/D e pilhas bloco9 V.

• Retire o cabo de rede da tomada e deixe oaparelho arrefecer, eventualmente o controlo datemperatura foi activado. A monitorização datemperatura interrompe o processo de carga,logo que uma pilha recarregável atinja uma tem-peratura demasiado elevada.

Outras falhas de funcionamentoDirija-se a um dos nossos parceiros de assistênciapróximo de si, se:• não conseguir eliminar falhas de funcionamento

como descrito• surgir outra falha durante o funcionamento do

carregador de pilhas universal.

Limpar

Limpe o exterior do carregador de pilhas universalexclusivamente com um pano seco. Para sujidademais difícil utilize um pano ligeiramente humedeci-do. Certifique-se que não entre líquido durante alimpeza no carregador de pilhas universal! Limpeo interior dos compartimentos de carregamentosempre a seco. Utilize um pincel limpo e maciopara limpeza. Nunca utilize produtos de limpezaabrasivos ou químicos.

Dealing with rechargable batteries• Do not use damaged (corroded) batteries.• Should batteries leak, avoid skin contact with

Commissioning

• Before taking the Universal Battery Charger intouse, check that all items are complete/availableand free of visible damage.

• Place the Universal Battery Charger on astraight, level, scratch and slip resistant surface.

Charging batteries

Danger!Charge exclusively rechargable batteries of the types „Ni-Cd“ and „Ni-MH“.NEVER recharge batteries of other types or non-rechargable batteries. These are not suitable for re-charging. They could irreparably damage the Uni-versal Battery Charger and the inserted batteries.There is also the danger of a fire as well as an explosion!

Notice:Ensure that the batteries are inserted into the charging slots in accordance with their polarities.Otherwise, the batteries will not be charged.

• Insert the batteries into the charging slots. • Press the 9 V Block batteries into the charging

slot until they audibly engage. 1 to 8 batteries can be individually charged: • 4 x Type C or Type D batteries in the charging

slots 1 to 4, with additionally 2 x Type 9 Volt Block batteries in the chargingslots 5 and 6,

or• 6 x Type AA or AAA in the charging slots 1 to 4,

with additionally 2 x Type 9 Volt Block batteries in the chargingslots 5 and 6.

• The charging process now begins. The Universal Battery Charger has an LED foreach cell in the charging slot. The LEDs of the respective charging slots show the charge condition of the individual batteries.

• In the first 5 seconds the Universal Battery Charger carries out a capacity test:- The LED of the charging slot glows orange: Capacity between 20%–80%.

- The LED of the charging slot glows red: Capacity under 20%.

- The LED of the charging slot glows green: Capacity over 80%.

When the battery capacity has been determined,the charging process begins.The various displays have the following meanings:

The LED blinks alternatively red and green: The batteries are being discharged for max.10 minutes (Refresh-Function).

The LED blinks green: The batteries are being charged by means ofimpulse-charging, for ca. 3 minutes with a reduced charging current.

The LED continuously glows red:The batteries are being charged.

The LED continuously glows green:The batteries are fully charged.

The LED blinks red: The inserted batteries are not positioned correctly in the charging slot or are defective.

Note: Should type C or D batteries be charged in the outer charging slots, the operating condition is displayed by the inner LEDs.

Automatic charging control/Retention chargingThis Universal Battery Charger controls the chargingtime for rechargable batteries of the types Ni-Cdand Ni-MH separately. This control is based on the –Δ U („minus Delta U“) calculation.In mathematics, with Delta Δ differences aredescribed.„Minus Delta U“ in this case means a negativevoltage difference.This charge identification makes itself useful in thefollowing effects:Should a battery be charged with a constant cur-rent, its voltage rises continuously. When the batteryis full, its voltage reaches a maximum and falls light-ly with further current flow. This light fall in voltage isrecognised by the charging electronics and thecharge process is terminated. The Universal BatteryCharger automatically switches to „Retention charging“. This means that the batteries are no lon-ger being charged with continuous power, but withshort power impulses instead. This counteracts theprocess of self-discharge, thus retaining the batteriesin a fully charged condition.

Troubleshooting

The Universal Battery Charger displays nofunctions• Check to see if the power cable is correctly

inserted into the power socket.• Check to see if the power socket is „live“. To do

this, connect a different, functioning electrical appliance to the socket.

The inserted batteries are not being charged• Check that the batteries are being inserted in

accord with their polarity. • Check that batteries suitable for charging have

been inserted into the Universal Battery Charger.Suitable for charging are exclusively recharga-ble Ni-Cd and Ni-MH batteries of the typesAAA/AA/C/D and 9 V Block batteries.

• Remove the power cable from the power socketand allow the appliance to cool down, as thetemperature monitoring has possibly activated itself. Temperature monitoring ensures that thecharging process is broken off as soon as a bat-tery reaches an excessively high temperature.

Other malfunctionsMake contact with one of our service partners closeto you if:• the malfunction cannot be corrected as

described above, • or, when operating the Universal Battery

Charger, other malfunctions occur.

Cleaning

Clean the housing of the Universal Battery Chargeronly with a dry cloth. For stubborn soiling use alightly moistened cloth. When cleaning ensure thatno moisture can permeate into the Universal BatteryCharger! Never clean the insides of the chargingslots with moist cloths. Instead, use a clean softbrush to clean them. Under no circumstances shouldyou use abrasive or chemical cleaners.

Disposal

Do not dispose of the appliance in yournormal domestic waste. This product issubject to the European guideline2002/96/EC.

Dispose of the appliance through an approved dis-posal centre or at your community waste facility.Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposalcentre.

Inbetriebnahme

• Überprüfen Sie vor der Inbetriebnahme denLieferumfang auf Vollständigkeit und eventuellsichtbare Beschädigungen.

• Stellen Sie das Universal Akkuladegerät aufeinem geraden, ebenen, kratzfesten und rutschsicheren Untergrund auf.

Hinweis:Dieses Gerät ist mit rutschfesten Gummifüßen ausge-stattet. Da Möbeloberflächen aus den verschiede-nen Materialien bestehen und mit unterschiedlich-sten Pflegemitteln behandelt werden, kann es nichtvöllig ausgeschlossen werden, dass manche dieserStoffe Bestandteile enthalten, die die Gummifüße an-greifen und aufweichen. Legen Sie gegebenenfallseine rutschfeste Unterlage unter die Füße des Gerätes.

• Vergleichen Sie die technischen Daten mit denenIhres Stromnetzbetreibers. Bei Übereinstimmung,schließen Sie das Netzkabel an eine Steckdosean. Die LEDs blinken dreimal orange auf. DasUniversal Akkuladegerät ist jetzt betriebsbereit.

Akkus aufladen

Gefahr!Laden Sie ausschließlich wiederaufladbare Akkusder Typen „Ni-Cd“ und „Ni-MH“. Laden Sie niemals Akkus anderen Typs oder nicht-wiederaufladbare Batterien auf. Diese sind nichtzum Aufladen geeignet. Anderenfalls können dasUniversal Akkuladegerät und die eingelegten Akkus/Batterien irreparabel beschädigt werden. Es besteht die Gefahr eines Brandes sowie Explo-sionsgefahr!

Hinweis:Achten Sie darauf, die Akkus entsprechend ihrer Polarität in die Fächer der Ladeschächte einzulegen.Anderenfalls werden die Akkus nicht aufgeladen.

• Setzen Sie die Akkus in die Ladeschächte ein. • Drücken Sie die Akkus Typ 9 V-Block in die

Ladeschächte, bis sie hörbar einrasten.

Es können individuell 1–8 Akkus geladen werden: • 4 x Typ C oder Typ D in den Ladeschächten

1 bis 4, mit zusätzlich 2 x Typ 9 Volt-Block inden Ladeschächten 5 und 6,

oder• 6 x Typ AA oder AAA in den Ladeschächten

1 bis 4, mit zusätzlich 2 x Typ 9 Volt-Block inden Ladeschächten 5 und 6.

• Der Ladevorgang beginnt nun. Das Universal Ak-kuladegerät besitzt je eine LED für jedes Fach imLadeschacht. Die LEDs der jeweiligen Ladeschäch-te zeigen den Ladezustand der einzelnen Akkus an.

• In den ersten 5 Sekunden führt das UniversalAkkuladegerät einen Kapazitätsschnelltestdurch:- Die LED des Ladeschachts leuchtet orange: Kapazität zwischen 20 %–80 %.

- Die LED des Ladeschachts leuchtet rot: Kapazität unter 20 %.

- Die LED des Ladeschachts leuchtet grün: Kapazität über 80 %.

Ist die Kapazität der Akkus festgestellt, beginnt derLadevorgang.

Die verschiedenen Anzeigen haben folgende Bedeutungen:

Die LED blinkt abwechselnd rot und grün: Die Akkus werden für ca. 10 Minuten entladen. (Refresh-Funktion)

Die LED blinkt grün: Die Akkus werden mittels Impulsladung fürca. 3 Minuten mit einem reduzierten Lade-strom geladen.

Die LED leuchtet durchgehend rot:Die Akkus werden geladen.

Die LED leuchtet durchgehend grün:Die Akkus sind vollständig geladen.

Die LED blinkt rot: Die eingelegten Akkus sind nicht richtig inden Ladeschacht eingelegt oder defekt.

Hinweis: Wird in den äußeren Ladeschächten Typ C oder Dgeladen, so wird der Betriebszustand von der jeweils inneren LED angezeigt.

Warnung!Die Akkus können beim Aufladen heiß werden. Berühren Sie niemals heiße Akkus! Es besteht Verbrennungsgefahr!

• Ziehen Sie das Netzkabel des Universal Akku-ladegerätes aus der Steckdose und lassen Siedie Akkus abkühlen.

Anschließend können Sie die geladenen Akkus ausdem Universal Akkuladegerät entnehmen.

Durchschnittliche LadezeitenAbhängig von Typ, Alter und Restladezustand derAkkus dauert der Aufladevorgang unterschiedlichlange. Die durchschnittlichen Ladezeiten können Sienachstehender Tabelle entnehmen. Beachten Sie je-doch, dass es sich bei den genannten Zeiten nur umRichtwerte handelt.

Automatische Ladekontrolle/ErhaltungsladungDieses Universal Akkuladegerät steuert die Ladezeitfür Akkus vom Typ Ni-Cd und Ni-MH separat. Dieser Steuerung liegt das –Δ U („minus Delta U“)Verfahren zugrunde.Mit dem Delta Δ bezeichnet man in der Mathematik Differenzen.„Minus Delta U“ bedeutet in diesem Fall eine negative Spannungsdifferenz.Diese Ladeschlusserkennung macht sich folgendenEffekt zu nutze:Wird ein Akku mit konstantem Strom geladen, steigtseine Spannung immer weiter an. Ist ein Akku voll,so erreicht seine Spannung jedoch ein Maximumund fällt bei weiterem Stromfluss wieder leicht ab.Dieser leichte Spannungsabfall wird von der Lade-elektronik erkannt und die Ladung wird beendet.Das Universal Akkuladegerät schaltet automatischauf „Erhaltungsladung“. Das heißt, die Akkus wer-den nicht mehr mit Dauerstrom, sondern mit kurzenStromimpulsen geladen. Dadurch wird der Selbst-entladung entgegengewirkt und die Akkus werdenin einem vollständigen Ladezustand gehalten.

Funktionsstörungen beheben

Das Universal Akkuladegerät zeigt keine Funktion• Überprüfen Sie, ob das Netzkabel richtig in die

Steckdose eingesteckt ist.• Überprüfen Sie, ob die Steckdose Strom führt.

Schließen Sie dazu ein anderes, funktionstüchti-ges Elektrogerät an diese Steckdose an.

Die eingelegten Akkus werden nicht aufgeladen• Überprüfen Sie, ob die Akkus entsprechend ihrer

Polarität eingelegt wurden. • Überprüfen Sie, ob Sie zum Aufladen geeignete

Akkus in das Universal Akkuladegerät eingelegthaben. Zum Aufladen geeignet sind ausschließ-lich ladefähige Ni-Cd- und Ni-MH-Akkus derTypen AAA/AA/C/D und 9 V-Block.

• Ziehen Sie das Netzkabel aus der Steckdoseund lassen Sie das Gerät abkühlen, da eventuelldie Temperaturüberwachung ausgelöst wurde.Die Temperaturüberwachung sorgt dafür, dassder Ladevorgang abbricht, sobald ein Akku einezu hohe Temperatur erreicht.

Andere FunktionsstörungenWenden Sie sich bitte an einen unserer Servicepartner in Ihrer Nähe, falls:• sich die Funktionsstörungen nicht wie

beschrieben beheben lassen• oder beim Betrieb des Universal Akkuladegerä-

tes andere Funktionsstörungen auftreten.

Reinigen

Reinigen Sie das Gehäuse des Universal Akkulade-gerätes ausschließlich mit einem trockenen Tuch.Benutzen Sie bei hartnäckigen Verschmutzungenein leicht angefeuchtetes Tuch. Achten Sie darauf,dass bei der Reinigung keine Feuchtigkeit in dasUniversal Akkuladegerät eindringt! Reinigen Sie dasInnere der Ladeschächte keinesfalls feucht. Benut-zen Sie zum Säubern stattdessen einen sauberen,weichen Pinsel. Verwenden Sie auf keinen Fallscheuernde oder chemische Putzmittel.

Entsorgen

Werfen Sie das Gerät keinesfalls in dennormalen Hausmüll. Dieses Produktunterliegt der europäischen Richtlinie2002/96/EC.

Entsorgen Sie das Gerät über einen zugelassenenEntsorgungsbetrieb oder über Ihre kommunale Entsorgungseinrichtung.Beachten Sie die aktuell geltenden Vorschriften. Setzen Sie sich im Zweifelsfall mit Ihrer Entsorgungs-einrichtung in Verbindung.
