The harsh realities of the market are further forcing companies to compete through their wit and innovative solutions. Koleksiyon comprises a group of companies which have over 40 years’ experience and aims to develop the highest quality ideas, standards, and design concepts towards the creation of “the architecture of furnishing”. As a brand which transforms simple lines into design pieces and which signifies quality in design, Koleksiyon has maintained a strong presence in the furniture sector since the early 70’s, continuously delivering creative designs to the industry.

This space where Koleksiyon team’s latest designs are on exhibit enables visitors to visualise various work environments. The horizontal and vertical openings in between the floors present a bird’s eye view that makes it possible to experience the layout of open offices and to observe the interrelationship of different working zones. The architect and the designers can then present their imagined interiors true to scale to their clients.

The entrance of the Koleksiyon Tarabya three storey Campus and 4000m2 building is redesigned with an atrium that hosts a library which includes books on a wide range of subjects from literature, cinema, design and art to philosophy to urban sociology, including books that are no longer in print.

Building on a culture of collaboration through their work with design, art and architecture for over for 40 years, Koleksiyon launches its new flagship showroom in Manhattan, New York. Koleksiyon’s first showroom in the USA is 285 m2, located in the mid-town east design district. The showroom features an eclectic mix of Koleksiyon’s contract furniture product line.

From lounge seating to desking, fixed seating to conference room furniture and a variety of table and chair offerings, Koleksiyon can furnish the entire office or hospitality space footprint from front lobby to conference rooms, private offices to cafeterias, and open work spaces to entertainment lounges. Koleksiyon New York enables customers to experience the dynamic nature of Manhattan from a unique perspective with its 2nd floor city view terrace. Koleksiyon New York will be hosting events from small social gatherings to exhibitions to bring professionals from the architectural and design community together.

Koleksiyon’s flagship showroom in Clerkenwell, London, the home of the global architecture and design industry, utilises its 500 m2 to showcase Koleksiyon’s innovative and advanced design approach and philosophy, enabling architects, designers and end users to experience Koleksiyon designs in person.

The innovative interior of the London showroom is due to Koleksiyon’s unique furniture and design stories as well as its striking interior design; inspired by the wide and green public parks of London, Koleksiyon commissioned a ‘vertical living garden’ designed by Biotecture for the showroom entrance. The whole experience is one of a relaxed atmosphere where visitors can be inspired to create their own interiors from Koleksiyon’s furniture ranges and discuss their ideas in an informal atmosphere.

Koleksiyon presented its new office designs with a great launch, themed of “RE-work” with the participation of the international guests in the Koleksiyon Tarabya Campus in İstanbul on April 2015.

The pioneering representatives of the business world, important architects, designers and media from all over the world came together with the launch of the new office series of Koleksiyon hosted by Koray Malhan and Doruk Malhan, the Board Members of Koleksiyon.

On the heels of the successful NeoCon® fair which took place in Chicago, Koleksiyon was throwing a party to celebrate the opening on their showroom in the midtown design district in Manhattan on June 2015.

Clerkenwell Design Week 2015

Koleksiyon was debuted their new collection for the first time in the UK. The new range inspired by the issue of “Open Work” space is presented at their Clerkenwell showroom while it comprises of a thought-provoking range of flexible seating and desk system products primarily.

Koleksiyon’s 500m2 flagship showroom in Brewhouse Yard, Clerkenwell was opened four years ago to showcase the company’s innovative and advanced design approach and philosophy, enabling architects, designers and end users to experience Koleksiyon designs in person. The showroom participated in Clerkenwell Design Week attracting a wide range of visitors through their doors over the 3 days of the festival.

NeoCon® 2015

Koleksiyon debuted ReWork, its progressive and contemporary line of office furniture at NeoCon® 2015 which held in Chicago Illinois. Koleksiyon received overwhelming response to their presence at NeoCon® 2015 from the design community, end-users, dealer community and media. With a fresh new perspective and products that evoke a unique and independent design language, Koleksiyon is refreshingly differentiated from standardized solutions commonly seen in this market.

The thematic focus of Koleksiyon’s 2200 square foot installation at NeoCon® 2015 was to present products primarily concerned within the “Open Work” theme. Studies indicate that many people without a permanent workspace believe that they are replaceable; and they are afraid of losing power or get the feeling of being constantly monitored. Koleksiyon presented its solution to this condition with Oblivion in the North Lobby of the Merchandise Mart.

Dubai Workspace 2015

The Workspace Fair which took place in May 2015 in Dubai World Trade Center, Koleksiyon was exhibited the new office lines. Novel products are offered which can re-write the usual system of the office environment. The new series include designs formed by units or modules which can create enormous sizes or can be shaped just as a module and easily replaceable. Koleksiyon aim to articulate contemporary approaches to work cultures as well as bringing its office designs to visitors across Dubai.

Design Workshops do not perform object based tasks; intrinsic values and the contexts of the object are analyzed, and rather than producing goods, it aims to create products, services, experiments, inspiration, culture and value added employment.

Design Foundation examines the creative disciplines with their integrated branches; advocates a pluralistic design based on collaboration, open work, and common sense; adopts transdisciplinary research as a principle for the cycle of ‘practicing-learning’. It is a project for creativity, creativity labor, creative work culture, virtuous workforce and value-added production. It aims to form performative, experimental and theoretical ties between art, craft, architecture, design, urban design and governance disciplines; strives to raise awareness and encourage people to embrace local, universal and environmental values. Design Foundation collaborates with designers, artists, educators, researchers and technology, science, culture, creative economies and community leaders.

Design Foundation relies on the principle of “learning by practice” within its theoretical framework, emphasizes the importance of the workshop activities as a co-creation ground. It proposes transdisciplinary, differentiating,
