•Google Chrome OS is a Linux-based operating system

•Works mainly with web applications

•The user interface takes a minimalist approach, resembling that of the Google Chrome web browser

•Until recently, only application on the device was a browser incorporating a media player and a file manager

•All of this subject to continuous change and improvement
