Principal’s Corner Dear Fisher Parents, Tomorrow Fisher Middle School is hosting a St. Baldrick’s Day fundraising event. The event will be held during flex and lunchtime. Mr. Kinsella is coordinating the event, while also serving as a willing “shavee.” Fisher’s Builders Club and Leadership class will be assisting. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives. St. Baldrick’s funds are granted to some of the most brilliant childhood cancer research experts in the world and to younger professionals who will be the experts of tomorrow. Funds awarded also enable hundreds of local institutions to participate in national pediatric cancer clinical trials, a child’s best hope for a cure. St. Baldrick’s is best known for its signature head-shaving events where volunteers shave their heads to stand in solidarity with the kids who typically lose their hair during cancer treatments. Last year, Fisher raised thousands of dollars in support of children’s cancer. This year, we have 45 confirmed Fisher students and a number of staff who will be shaving their heads to raise money for this significant and memorable event. For more information about St. Baldrick’s, call 1.888.899.BALD or visit www.StBaldricks.org. Pledges for Fisher participants can also be made online. Let’s meet or beat last year’s contributions and put Fisher on the map as a most compassionate and caring community. Principal’s Corner will return next week. Coming Soon to a Campus Near You: Spring Concerts! Or, as we like to call them, The Sounds of Your LGEF Donation Music Teachers and students on all five Los Gatos Union School District campuses have worked hard, perfecting their March musical performances with tunes that celebrate the season of growth and renewal. These March concerts, which will be photographed and recorded by many as cherished memories, are made possible by parent donations to LGEF. LGEF funds the elementary music program and two music teachers for the middle school, since music is not covered by state or property tax funding. So, if you haven’t yet made a donation to LGEF, please do so today and support this great program. Every child benefits from LGEF programs, so it is benefits every family to donate to LGEF. And it’s tax deductible! While we suggest $600/child, donations of all sizes make an important difference. Donate today at our secure online site at www.lgef.org, or mail a check to LGEF, 17010 Roberts Rd., Los Gatos, CA, 95032. Then sit back at the next concert and enjoy the sounds of your donation!

LGEF accepts stock donations! For details, visit:

LGEF Annual Fundraiser Update You Make the Difference; Help Raise the Final 9% Today We sent out the call for help, and district parents are answering with many generous donations. Yet more parents need to donate if LGEF is to meet it goal. Currently, we are at 91% of our target, meaning LGEF must raise $70,000 by May 1 to ensure its science, music, art, and social-emotional learning programs remain funded at each campus. If you haven’t donated, your help is needed today. Visit LGEF.org and donate. Thank you for your support!
