Dear Parents

Samuel Ng was our special guest on Thursday morning.

He grew up in Kindy and is now currently in Primary 1.

As it was e-learning day for him, he decided to pay us a visit…. And in full uniform too !

The children also had the opportunity to look at the school materials and asked Samuel questions.

He even brought along his big school bag and

showed them the numerous files and books

that he has to bring to school.

He spent the morning

talking to the Peace

class, sharing with

them his experience

in Primary 1.

This was a very good opportunity for the Peace children to get a first- hand account

of what it is like to be in Primary 1

and this is one of our strategies to prepare them for the next phase of their learning journey!

The surprise did not end in the classroom…… we had

(Lovingly prepared by Mi Jeong - mum of Samuel) during our snack time.

Fun & Movement

Mass Activity

BIG and small boxes with balls in them, were scattered everywhere. . .

It was a battle between two groups!!!

One group had to get as many balls into the small boxes while the other, the big boxes!

There was no time to lose! Everyone had to act VERY fast.

Because the moment a ball went in…

Another would soon be taken out!


Great teamwork was necessary in this game.

Each one had to understand the game play well

else balls would end up in the wrong boxes, helping the other team win!

Individual classes

Dodgeball? No!

1. Instead of throwing the balls, only the action of rolling was allowed.


2. To avoid the incoming balls, you can only jump over it!


3. Pick up all the balls, change players, and go for another round!


This trains their object manipulation skills as the children had to roll the balls toward their friends.

It also helps to further develop their jumping skills through this fun activity!

Aesthetics (Cooking)

Making ham and cheese sandwich with the sandwich maker(s) … yes, we had 3 of them


Done like “pros” – just put on the slices of

ham/cheese on the half slice of bread; cover it with the other half slice …. But we cannot eat it yet !!!

Getting ready for toasting …

And the more challenging task …. Getting the sandwich into the sandwich maker …

they were made aware that the equipment is very hot and

all attempted to place their sandwich most carefully and cautiously …

(a few literally threw the sandwich into the sandwich maker !!!)

many were actually afraid and quite scared …

but Teacher’s steady and assuring pair of hands is always there …


What an experience for all !!! And they couldn’t wait to savour the fruit of their labour >> hot, crispy ham & melty cheese sandwich …..
