About meI favour a natural and relaxed style of photography, working in natural light, and I specialise in people portraits, from babies to toddlers and families.

I document life’s special moments as they unfold with pictures that capture my subjects’ personality.

I work in Newcastle upon Tyne and the surrounding area and can travel if requested.

Babies and ToddlersBaby photo session £99The session lasts 2-3 hours and takes place at your home. You can expect 20-25 images from the session, all of which are individually digitally retouched in either colour or black & white. I try to capture the details of your baby, including their feet, hands, eyelashes and their personality and I encourage the interactions with you so each session is unique to you and your baby.

I currently do not offer a printing service so you will get a set of 20-25 high resolution images on CD so you can organise your own printing. All of these images will be suitable for 6x4 prints or a large canvas.

I try to capture the details of your child, including their smiles, laughter, and their personality and I encourage the interactions with you so each session is unique to you and your family.

FAQHow do I book?You can email us at info@greghailsphotography.comor call on 07808726946 to book your photo session.

What is your availability?Currently I am available for photo sessions on weekends and usually booked up 4-6 weeks in advance.

Want to book a newborn session?New babies need to be photographed within the first two weeks of life so I recommend booking during your pregnancy so you can get the session you want.

What time are the sessions?Sessions normally take 10.30am or 1.00pm but times can be arranged to suit your needs too so just ask at the time of booking. I also only book one session in per day to ensure its the best possible experience for you.

Location of shootI do not offer a studio style photo session, the shoot takes place at your home or a location of your choosing. The location could be a park, a beach, woodlands or anywhere you go as a family and your children have fun.

FAQWhat clothes should we wear?The weather will dictate what you should wear, if its cold you need to wrap up warm, and for the children, hats and gloves are a must! For styling, you could go for natural colours such as cream and browns but bright vibrant colours work just as well and chunky hats look great on children too. I would reccomend three changes of outfits for the shoot and that you choose clothes that you dont mind getting a little messy.

Parents role on a shoot?To help make your children laugh or even bribe them to cooperate! From the most unlikely of moments we can capture the best photos and they often come from the natural reactions and dynamics of the family rather than staged shots. Also, bring little snacks and drinks as they can help keep the children’s energy going!

FAQCan I cancel my session?Yes, but I ask for 2 weeks notice.

Can I re-arrange a session?Yes but I ask that a session is only re-arranged for exceptional circumstances as I am booked up well in advance. We might also have to re-arrange for bad weather if the shoot is on location. Most times its not a problem as long as it’s not raining! If you have any concerns just contact me at any time.

Do you offer a printing service?I don’t at the moment, I am currently reviewing a select range of photographic print suppliers and will be offering this service in the future.

When is payment due?Payment is due on the day of the session.
