The Marble has been sealed in the final stage of the manufacturing process to provide durability; however, Marble is a porous stone and can be stained if water or other liquids (e.g. lemon juice, Wine, Oil etc) rest on the surface for too long. Clean up all spills with a damp cloth as soon as they occur. We recommend the use of coasters and mats when placing anything on the table top; this particularly applies to cold items which might have condensation on them.

For cleaning the Marble use warm water or a combination of warm water and liquid soap (non-acidic) with a soft cloth (scouring pads and abrasives will scratch the surface) and avoid leaving any soap residue.

Alternatively, proprietary stone care kits and cleaners can be used. Please seek advice from the manufacturer before using. Neptune accepts no responsibility or liability with regard to the use of such products.

CareTeak, like all timbers contains natural tannings. We would not recommend that your furniture is placed on to a porous surface such as a flagstone patio during the initial weathering process. Small amounts of tanning may leech out of the timber during the first few rain showers only.

If your Teak furniture requires cleaning, this can be done with a normal household bristle brush (not too hard) and some warm, mildly soapy water. Wash the product down after cleaning with clean water. If required the wood can be lightly sanded (when dry) using a fine grade (180-240 grit) sandpaper (being sure to work in the direction of the timber grain). We do not recommend the use of high pressure hoses and steel wool or steel wire brushes, as any residue left in the grain will rust and discolour the wood.

The teak has no protective finish applied to it during the manufacturing process and therefore is subject to scratch and dent more easily; therefore we recommend the use of coasters and mats when placing anything on the table top; this particularly applies to cold items which might have condensation on them. Clean up all spills with a damp cloth as soon as they occur to avoid staining the wood.

Neptune recommends leaving your teak product to weather naturally to an elegant silver grey. If you would like to treat your product, then there are various Teak & Tung oils and water based treatments on the market which can be applied and will slow down the greying effect. It is important to understand that nearly all these treatments must be reapplied as a continuous routine every 2 – 6 months. It should be noted that the use of these Oils will not increase the life of the timber; however they will deepen the colour a little and prevent stains from seeping into the timber grain.

The use of varnish or any type of polyurethane finish or sealers should be avoided as they will not adhere well due to the natural oil content of the timber.

Before applying / reapplying any treatments the Teak must be completely clean and free from any colour variations / black spots. This may require a degree of sanding. Please be aware, that applying a treatment to furniture made of teak which is not even in colour will emphasize the difference / variation.

Before using any treatments we recommend you seek detailed advice from the appropriate manufacturer and test on a small area before complete application to ensure you are happy with the finish.

Neptune does not accept any responsibility or liability for any damage caused to the product due to treatment.

Neptune’s cushions are made from Duratex 65 which is soft to the touch and gives high protection from everyday wear and tear.

All of our outdoor cushions have removable and washable covers which have a quick-drying splash-proof coating. This will allow any water based liquids to simply roll from the fabric if tackled quickly. This also means that they can be left outdoors even in the rain and will dry very quickly. All fillings are foam or fibre and compliant with UK FR regulations to ensure they are suitable for us in a conservatory.

CareAny spillages on the cushions should be mopped up as quickly as possible with an absorbent cloth.Covers should be washed on a 30°C wash. Please note that after approximately 5-6 washes the splash proof coating may lose some of it’s effectiveness.

Dark coloured cushions should be stored out of sunlight when not is use to prevent any fading.

Exterior IsoGuard® Care GuideBy Neptune

Care

Neptune IsoGuard Exterior Treatment Oil and Primer are unique products that protect your wood against the elements and prevents UV discolouring. The clever part is how it works. Instead of applying a layer on top of your timber, IsoGuard is designed to penetrate the timber surface and bond with each wood fibre at a molecular level. More importantly Isoguard does not like to bond to itself. This advanced technology offers several major benefits. Firstly it means that one application is all you need after applying the exterior primer. In fact a further application will not achieve anything at all! Secondly it means that the character of the wood is completely retained as there is no surface build up. Finally it means that any repairs are wonderfully simple as a second treatment will only react with unprotected wood created by the damage or subsequent repair.

IsoGuard will protect your wood against most accidents, including spillages of water, tea, coffee, wine, fizzy drinks, vinegar, olive oil, milk and lemon juice. After one hour there should be no visible damage on well maintained and treated timber. After 6 hours you will find slight damage from vinegar. After 24 hours you will get slight damage from coffee, vinegar, milk and lemon juice. We recommend that you wipe up spillages as soon as you find them.

Isoguard Exterior Primer - New wood: 1 litre = +/- 15 to 20 m2. Restoration: 1 litre = +/-10 m2.Isoguard Exterior Treatment Oil - 30-50m2 per litre. Because of its unique technology, IsoGuard goes a long way!

APPLICATIONPrimer: 1. Sand the wood well and equally. 2. Remove all the dust. 3. Apply Neptune IsoGuard Exterior Primer by brush, cloth or sponge. 4. Let it dry until the wood obtains its original colour.

Treatment Oil: 5. Apply a thin layer of IsoGuard by brush, cloth or sponge. 6. Leave to react with the wood for a few minutes 7. Remove any excess within 5 minutes.

PLEASE NOTE1. Your IsoGuard treatment needs 24-36 hours before it is sufficiently protected.2. Neptune IsoGuard takes 3 weeks to cure fully. In the first week do not clean with any liquids. From the second week you may clean with a cloth dampened with water. After 3 weeks you can clean with a soapy wood cleaner or IsoGuard Cleaner.

WARNING!Keep out of the reach of children. Cloths, saturated with oil, may spontaneously combust. After usage, soak in water before disposal.

All Neptune products are manufactured to a high standard and with a good attention to detail to ensure they last for years. However, we strongly recommend it is stored away during the winter months. All furniture (not just Neptune’s) will last longer and benefit if protected from the harsh winter weather! All product must be thoroughly dried before putting into storage.

All Neptune garden products are designed for outdoor and indoor use, but we do not guarantee them as being frost proof. Garden furniture covers are not always the solution as condensation can form under them and they offer insufficient protection against frost.

During the summer months we recommend the use of a cover to protect the product from severe rain, as this will prolong the life of your Neptune product.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All furniture should be lifted and moved rather than dragged to prevent any damage to the product or the area in which you are using them.
