The project comprises the design and build of a new dry leisure facility and external 3G pitch. The scheme includes a crown green bowling facility and modular clubhouse on a separate site at Brinnington Road. The development forms part of a regeneration scheme in Brinnington where new housing is being built in partnership with the Council. Local Labour All main packages (steel, groundworks, M&E) are being placed with local contractors where available Sustainability and Localism The project is in a greenfield area surrounded by local residents. Care has been taken to consult the community with regular updates in the form of letter drops Collaboration with the Council The KPI targets for the project will aim above the NWCH standard and also integrate Council specific KPIs The scheme will be marketed with the Council’s leisure operator throughout the construction phase Social Value 7 appentices, 2 jobs and 12 work experience placements will be created on this project 8 training plans have been created for subcontractors, to include supervisor, leadership & management and health & safety training A sod cutting ceremony was held with the client, the building manager, local residents, the contractors Managing Director and Council members The new sports centre will create high quality, affordable facilities, accessible to everyone.
