About VEATIVE

How VR is CHANGING EDUCATION

RETENTIONResearch suggests that visualisation and a VR environment strengthen the connection

between a student and a concept, possibly heightening retention.

ENGAGEMENTIt is about participating in the learning process, having actual/virtual experiences, and

enjoying the process in a self-paced, self-directed environment.

DISTRACTION FREEWhen students are inside a virtual environment, they are far less prone to distractions such

as other students, phones, and so on. This promotes focused attention on core concepts.

A global provider of education technology and innovative digital learning solutions, using immersive

technologies. Providing the first affordable, practical, and interactive learning modules for learners of all

stripes.

““Our vision is to help create a world where we can transform the way we learn, gain knowledge and grow.

Where we unleash the power of digital innovation to make immersive learning affordable and

transformative, motivating learners all over the world, irrespective of their socioeconomic background,

VR CONTENT LIBRARY

PHYSICSPhysics is an extremely important subject, which allows us to connect with the physical world. Its inherent complexity can be intimidating, as students can easily doubt whether they are up to the task. But removing that sense of intimidation for learners can be empowering and inspiring. Using immersive experiences promotes that connection between learner and concept, inspiring greater inquiry.

CHEMISTRYChemistry can be a difficult subject to grasp as learners are often confused by obscure terms and processes. Instructors are always on the lookout for ways to allow students to realize that chemistry manifests itself in everyday life. Distraction-free learning, inside a virtual environment, is conducive to engaging learners in focused attention on difficult concepts.

BIOLOGYLife is a wonder, and learning about the intricacies of the world around us, at a biological level, is now within the grasp of learners. Enter into a plant, become a part of an ecosystem, and feel a connection with the smallest particles that make up the basis of life. From genes to proteins, or cells to protoplasm, immersion into this world brings life, to life!

MATHEMATICSMathematical concepts are not always easily visualised, handicapping learners who just don’t “get it.” However, Veative has adopted some interesting techniques to introduce students to the world of math, by connecting difficult-to-grasp ideas with real world situations, all in a virtual world! When a polyhedron is no longer a flat image, but a 3D, interactive object, it starts to make more sense. When that object can be explored from the inside, spatial intelligence is activated and a deeper understanding is within the reach of learners.

EDUCATIONAL TOURSA sense of wonder is what we wish to awaken. Students don’t always get a chance to visit and explore some of the wonders of the world. Imagine taking your learners to majestic places such as Eiffel tower and Taj Mahal through immersive technology. This allows students to not only feel what it is like in Paris or Agra, but learn about its architect and design at the very same time.

LANGUAGE LEARNINGVR enables real life experiences, in the safe and comfortable environment needed to ignite language learning. Role-play situations can be enhanced by interacting with virtual people. Scenario-based modules allow a connection between the scene, the context, and the target language. This airport scenario brings learners into a new world, and helps to arouse a desire to learn more.

Learning Management PLATFORM

AdministrativeTOOLS

Administrators can easily set up personalized user profiles for Students, Teachers, Parents, School Administrators and District / Ministry. The intuitive dashboards for individual user profiles highlight important progress information andsuccess metrics.

PersonalizedUser Profiles

Veative’s learning management platform offers engaging learning tools to students, and provides teachers, parents, and administrators with actionable analytics. The learning management platform is developed for both online and offline deployment scenarios. The platform is accessible online via the web and offline through the Teacher App, which may be required in some circumstances (ie. unreliable connectivity). The local app database remains in sync with the cloud version, when an internet connection is available.

User roles and permissions enable administratorsto assign specific permissions to user groups and tomanage role-based access. Users assigned to a role or group are granted those permissions. Students have individual access whereas teachers have access to all students under their purview.

User Roles &Permissions

Students are assigned to a grade and subject(s), and the relevant content is filtered to that student. If a student studies Gr 10 Biology (only), the VR modules for this subject are all that this student will see. The Gr 10 Biology teacher will automatically see this student's results. This is structured by the curriculum.

Device management allows administrators to control, secure and enforce policies on headsets. This is a core component of the platform, which also includes mobile application management, identity and access management, as well as file sync and share. The intent of device management is to optimize the functionality and security of devices within the school while simultaneously protecting the school network. Please note that some devices allow for better management than others. This is one more consideration in your vetting process.

DeviceManagement

ClassroomMANAGEMENT

When using Veative's Lab function and

Multicast, teachers can pause or stop the module

to maintain control in the classroom. The

Monitor function also allows the teacher to see

inside a student headset, to help orient that

student. The modules are also designed to not

allow the student to opt out of that lesson, as the

Back button and Exit buttons are disabled. This

affords the instructor more control.

Pause / Stop Content Modules TO TAKE CONTROL

Using the classroom management system, teachers

can launch VR content modules simultaneously on

all student VR devices. This feature ensures that all

students remain in-sync with the teacher, as they

experience the same content as a group.

ContentMANAGEMENT

The Veative VR solution comes with an easy-to-use content management system accessible via the web, or a

Teacher App for an Android device (for areas with connectivity issues). The content management system

enables teachers to easily find structured content mapped to their curriculum. This saves time in class

preparation.

Built-in learner feedback and tracked assessment ensure that learners stay on task. The offline version is

supported by our proprietary analytics system that stores results locally and syncs with the server when an

internet connection is available. Veative provides its own proprietary reporting system for teachers and

students to view analytics. Analytics data can also be sent to any other LMS/LRS system (capable of retrieving

results), used by schools.

I liked seeing myself on the other side

of the world and being connected to

things that can not be seen on naked

eye. I liked seeing the human brain. I

would like to learn Mathematics and

Biology through VR.

Student, Grade 11 Boitumelong SeniorSecondary School,

VR gives a better understanding of

situation and better experience. It can be

used effectively in class as a perfect

teaching aid. It will help the teacher to be

in control of the situation that the teacher

wants the students to be in. VR can be

used to benefit learning the abstract

situations where students need to

imagine.

Training PROTOTYPES

EYE AND CATARACT MODULE

There is a dire need for low-cost, high-tech platforms to leverage for surgical training. Modules, such as the Cataract, help medical professionals visualize and gain a better spatial sense of the environments they will be faced with. It is also possible to practice life-saving procedures, thereby improving surgical skills by simulating real surgery.

OIL AND GAS MODULE

Training recruits on-site can be logistically difficult and taxing. This Oil and Gas simulation guides trainees through the machinations of a drilling rig, while simultaneously removing the fear of injury or catastrophic failure.

ENGINE MODULE

The modern workplace is transforming rapidly and there is a need for solutions that increase efficiencies within the industrial process. For example, the engine module, combined with immersive tools like the Microsoft Hololens, allows users to gain competency on machine parts, tools, and maintenance techniques, while in a virtual space.

AK-47 MODULE

Immersive technologies not only propagate experiential learning, but can also effectively prepare defense personnel and trainees for real-life situations. Veative's AK-47 simulation gives learners in-depth technical knowledge about weaponry and enhances their awareness of the interaction of each component.

CYBER SECURITY MODULE

The growing dearth of cyber-security professionals has made it necessary to find better ways to detect and identify threats and vulnerabilities. Raghav, a Cyber-security professional who is guided by a virtual trainer inside a lab simulation, identifies threats, malware, and harmful files, followed by quarantine practices to keep data secure and privacy intact.
