BIM EXECUTION PLAN TEMPLATE

Notes

The applicants must establish, implement and document the processes and procedures required to achieve BIM objectives in the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), including the following:

1. BIM workflows and delivery methodologies

2. Individual discipline modelling2.1 Revision management2.2 Model orientation and site configuration2.3 Model division and structure2.4 Modelling guidelines

3. Inter-discipline collaboration3.1 Data sharing process, framework and protocol, including the

data information and models to be shared, file formats and frequency of data sharing

3.2 Coordination review process and plan, including use of BIM in coordination meetings

3.3 Clash detection procedure, methodology and plan

Besides Items 1 – 3 above, BIM Fund applicants must fill up Items 4 – 9 below, which will be reviewed for BIM Fund assessment purposes. Applicants may use other templates, as long as the equivalent content of all Items 1 – 9 are included and any other relevant information.

6. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Key Performance Indicators are used to quantify the productive performance of the BIM project delivery.

Leading Indicators (see example below)

• Time taken to resolve RFIs (latency)

• No of RFIs trending over time

7. MODEL CHECKLIST FOR BIM COLLABORATION

NotesApplicants must fulfil at minimum the list below, in at least one of the following stages: - Design stage before tender - Before substructure construction- Before superstructure construction.

7.1 All Control Elements7.2 Any 3 clash-free pair of elements in each of the Architectural-Structural, Structural-MEP and Architectural-MEP matrix

(Applicant to submit a total of 9 pairs) 7.3 Any 3 elements in each of the 3 disciplines to meet intra-discipline quality standards 1 – 4

(Applicant to submit a total of 9 elements) 7.4 Sample images

7.1 CONTROL ELEMENTS

LOCATION AND ORIENTATION Link models by "Origin to origin". All models must align.

GRIDS Check in any floor plan if grids align in all models

LEVELSCheck if levels align in all models. (Note: it is acceptable for SFL to be different from FFL provided the difference in drops between both is logical and consistent, and there is a corresponding SFL for every FFL.)

COORDINATION CLASHES: Perform interference checks for all coloured boxes below

- The GREEN boxes are compulsory to be checked, if applicable. There must be zero interferences

1. OVERLAPS AND DUPLICATES: Perform automated interference checks for the same element. There must be zero interferences2. USE OF CORRECT OBJECTS: Turn off visibility of all categories except for category to check. There must be no instance of any model element not belonging to this category. 3. INFORMATION Open prepared schedule There must be no instance of any model type using "Generic", “Typical”,

"Default", or any ambiguous type4. NAMING CONSISTENCY In same schedule, all model types must be named consistently
