Miriam and I want to let you know that I will be stepping away from the rabbinate position effective this July 1, 2016. This was a mutual decision we reached with Beth Tfiloh that is both in the best interests of the Shul and helpful for me.

Some opportunities that I have always wanted to pursue have recently presented themselves and the timing is too good to pass up. I look forward to sharing more when details are finalized, hopefully in the coming weeks.

Miriam and I want to take this opportunity to thank Beth Tfiloh for

two amazing years. It was an honor to serve here as Rabbi. We had a wonderful experience and made friends for life.

In the meantime, Miriam and I intend to stay where we are. Baltimore is our home, and Beth Tfiloh is like our family. We look forward to continuing as part of this warm and loving community. We will see you all in shul.

“WALKING WITH THE ENEMY” Inspired by a true story, this is an unforgettable film of love, courage, and sacrifice. Set in Hungary during the final months of World War II, a young man sets out to find his displaced family by using a stolen Nazi uniform to pose as an officer. Filled with suspense and danger, he undertakes extraordinary measures to reroute his family and others to safety by disrupting the activities of the German occupiers. Stars Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley. (124 minutes)
