IT’S FINALLY HERE!Wow…after over 4 years of hard research and many creative minds working together, the first of many Art Quotient Art Annuals is finally published.
There are so many talented young artists on these pages, I can’t even begin to express how thrilled I am to know this is what the future of art brings. From portraits to animals, watercolors to oil to pastel, each of these art-ists brings new meaning to originality. Over 250 pieces of artwork were received from Nevada, California, New Mexico, and Glasgow Scotland. While each of us at Art Quotient had our favorites, it was a very difficult process to actually pick a particular piece that we felt is truly the best.
With lots of review and a special combination of elements, not only is there a Best of Show, but a Publisher’s Award and a Chairman’s Award were also awarded this year.
The judges for this first issue are of the highest caliber and their time spent in reviewing so many pieces of art is very much appreciated.
Thank you to everyone involved in bringing such talent into a unique publication that will only evolve. We expect to receive twice the amount of submissions next year through word-of-mouth and some advertising. Art is still very much alive and will never disappear. Art Quotient is the published history of the art of our young artists today and what these artists are bringing into their future as well as ours—they are truly the masters of tomorrow. BOB BYERLEY — One of the foremost painters of children today. Considered a modern day Norman Rockwell, Bob’s nostalgic Trompe l’Oeil (fool-the-eye-realism) oil paintings evoke a feeling of a kinder and gentler age in which he grew up.
His classical ultra realistic interpretations of the everyday experiences of the child, awakens in the viewer, long forgotten memories. The art combines precise academic painting techniques of the Old Dutch Masters with the heart and soul of Norman Rockwell. Bob’s work can be found in over 3,000 galleries.
MIKE MOROFF — You have seen his face in numerous films, theatrical roles, and television produc-tions over the years. You have seen him in everything from La Bamba, Death Wish IV and Robocop to Desperado. He has played “Oso” in Born In East L.A., “Ortega” in Scarface, and “Santos” in Night Of The Living Dead III. More recently, Mike has graced the silver screen with his portrayals in Buena Vista’s The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit and The Crew.
Mike relaxes in his “spare” time by team roping in the Pro-Celebrity Rodeo Circuit raising money for children’s charities. He is also an artist whose paintings are being collected all over the world. Mike can be seen throughout the southwest doing art show concerts. This is just one more facet to this bicultural, Tex-Mex actor and all around good guy.
ORA TAMIR — Trying to describe Ora’s paintings is like trying to describe dreams. Using soft sable brushes and oil paints, symbolic stories are created. Her surreal sensual paintings express basic emotions and tap into the intricate human web. Ora’s art has futuristic quality and haunting beauty. Paintings are not planned they are purely intuitive. Every original is a long labor of love.
A selection reflecting Ora’s art of the last ten years has been published in limited edition. If you love Surrealism, exquisite colors and sensuality, you will be mesmerized. Collectors love her work. In 2002, Ora’s Art debuted at Artexpo NY - the largest International Art Trade Show in the United States. As a result, Ora’s Art received extensive Press and representation by several Galleries.
Danielle had the opportunity to meet one of our judges at Le Gallerie Luministe in Henderson, Nevada on October 22, 2003. Bob Byerley was in town and took time out to meet Danielle and talk with her about her future in art. She also got to see a true master at work while he touched up his paintings, including his newest work pictured here.

This young artist was awarded Best of Show and deserv-edly so. Danielle was home-
schooled during most of her school years and when ready for high school she applied and was accepted to attend one of the best art high schools in Las Vegas, Nevada—The Las Vegas Academy of Performing & Visual Arts. There she studied art and music—playing the drums and violin.
She graduated from high school in spring of 2003 and found out in August that she was accepted to attend the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.
Danielle’s art exudes her own maturity and creative styles. But her art also bears many other artist’s influences, so when we asked about her favorite artist she quickly replied “Salvador Dali.”
While Danielle spoke of possibly teaching art in the future, she also expressed interest in environmental art and pursuing gallery work as a fine artist. She’s not taking any digital classes right now, but she wants to get her minor in multi-media, illustration or graphic design. Her favorite class is currently draw-ing concepts.
