BY-LAWS APPROVED An excellent representation of our

membership was present at the special Congregational Meeting on Monday evening, April 7th. The new By-Laws were presented by Mr. Samuel Falk, co-Chairman of the Committee on revision of the Constitution, and, unanimously adopted with minor changes. Of particular significance to our Congregants is Article III, making membership available to every seatholder in the Temple who has been affiliated for ex period of two years. Weare certain that this departure will make for greater interest and activity in the affairs of the Synagogue. To Mr. Eisner, Mr. Falk and the members of the By-Laws Committee is due our grateful appreciation for this progressive far-reaching constitution.

YOUTH GROUPS The Rodeph Sholom League will con

duct a business meeting and variety show on Tuesday evening, April 22nd at 8:30 P.M. An open dance in the Marcus Loew Auditorium will be held by the League for the benefit of the United Jewish Appeal on Saturday evening, April 26th.

IN APPRECIATION Mrs. Samuel Falk, Chairman of

the Sisterhood Pledge Luncheon and Mrs. Abraham Steigerwald, Sisterhood President, wish to express their appreciation to all the women who worked so conscientiously and helpfully to make the occasion a success. In addition to the ladies who donated such beautiful gifts, thanks are due to Mrs. Joseph Pulvermacher, Co-Chairman; Mrs. Albert M. Kahn, Chairman of Gifts; Mrs. Edward Friedman, Co-Chairman of Gifts; Mrs. Arthur J. Schwartz, Treasurer. of the Luncheon; Mrs. Ferdinand Loeb, Chairman of Gift Books, and Mrs. Joseph Glanzer, Chairman of Publicity; Mrs. Louis Sternberg, Chairman of Seating Arrangements, and the Captains and others who gave their services on behalf of the Luncheon. It was in every way a most pleasing event.

BAR MITZVAH This coming Sabbath morning the

Bar Mitzvah ceremony of Richard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Eisner, will take place. Mr. Joseph Eisner is a member of our Board of Trustees and an active member of our Educational and Ways and Means Committees. Mrs. Eisner is the VicePresident of our Parent-Teachers' Association. We wish to felicitate Mr. and Mrs. Eisner upon this joyous occasion and we are confident the Bar Mitzvah will be inspired to devote himself, as have his parents, to the cause of Israel.

JOSEPH B. BRENAUER: In Memoriam This Sabbath morning, following

the Services the Name Plate of Joseph B. Brenauer will be dedicated on the Plaque in our Sanctuary. Mr. Brenauer in his lifetime was an invaluable member of the Finance Committee and aided other important phases of our Temple program. He was a devout, sincere Congregant who gave unselfishly of his time and substance, and it is only fitting that his name shall be thus memorialized in the Synagogue to which he belonged since childhood.

per Dance will take place this coming Saturday, April 19th. Supper will be served promptly at 7 P.M., followed by dancing and entertainment. Members of the PreConfirmation Class may invite outside couples at $1.00 per couple. .
