I. Impact to AIT
AIATAA Myanmar Chapter’s current mission and vision are:
Mission
AITAA Myanmar will support to AIT with affordable capacity and encourage to country's sustainable development especially in educational sector by building the continuously growing network between all AIT Alumni residing in Myanmar and oversea.
Vision

1) Indirect Support
The first Myanmar student completed his Masters in 1974. No Myanmar student joined AIT for a few years after that as AIT was not well known in Myanmar at that time. From 1981 to 1985 only 19 Myanmar students graduated from AIT (less than 4 students per year on average). Total graduated Myanmar students increased to 25 from 1986 to 1990 (average 5 students per year). In 1991 alone, a total of 25 Myanmar students graduated from AIT – which was the first significant increase of Myanmar alumni. A total of Myanmar alumni to date is 638 (as of May 2013). There will be more Myanmar alumni in coming years as Norwegian Government has granted a considerable number of scholarships to Myanmar citizens (40 and 50 scholarships in August 2012 and 2013 intakes respectively). The number of Myanmar Students graduated in each year is shown in the graph below. Majority of Myanmar alumni live and work in Myanmar in various capacities – most of them are successful leaders in their respective fields.
