What is Emotional Intelligence? Self Awareness: Knowing one’s internal states, preferences,
resources and intuitions
Self Regulation: Managing one’s internal states, impulses and resources.
Motivation: Emotional tendencies that guide or facilitate reaching goals.
Empathy: Sensing what people feel, being able to take on their perspective and cultivate rapport with a broad diversity of people
Social Skills: Adeptness at inducing desirable responses in others.

Awareness: The degree to which people seem in touch with their emotions

• Get into pairs …
• Round 1: Tell your partner all of your “have to’s” and “must do’s” coming up in the next week. You’ll have 30 seconds, and then switch up
• Round 2: Convert the “have to’s” and “must do’s” into “I choose to” or “I’m going to.
