What is Accreditation?Accreditation is a process of quality assurance, whereby a programme in an approved institution is critically appraised to verify that the programme meets the norms and standards laid down.
AACSB International, USA - Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business started in 1916 accredits management institutions
EQUIS, Belgium - European Quality Improvement System, part of European Foundation for Management Development also accredits institutions
AMBA, UK - Association of MBAs started in 1967 accredits management programmes
Various Accrediting Agencies
ACBSP, USA - Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs founded in 1988 accredits both post graduate and undergraduate baccalaureate degrees
IACBE (International Assembly of Collegiate Business Education) USA, started in 1997 also accredits irrespective of the vintage

• Schools in candidacy can have access to self-studies previously submitted by other institutions

• Access to a variety of resources including a listserv with all other member institutions

• Dr. Bijoy Sahoo appointed as mentor
• Set up a team with 15 volunteers
• Detailed study of standards
• Institutional overview and Preliminary questionnaire drafted
• Reviewed by mentor
• Modifications done
• Fine tuning is being done to be formally submitted by Nov 1st week
