A Hotel that Cares

THE BLOOMSBURY HOTEL

My parents chose to celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary in

London and Iceland

FIFTY YEARS TOGETHER

The Bloomsbury Hotel went out of their way to

make certain that my parents’ celebration

was remarkable!

They printed wedding photos and put them in

frames in their room along with canapés and wine! Their room and

the service was spectacular.

THE BLOOMSBURY HOTEL

• Built on the site of a former fairground and brewery

• Foundation stone was laid by Her Majesty Queen Mary on 12 June 1929

• Grade II listed Neo Georgian building, designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens

• Built as the first base for the Young Women's Christian Association in London, known as the Central Club

• In 1982, the Golden Jubilee of the Central Club was marked by a visit from HM Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother
