Black Women: Oral History Project. (10 volumes) Compiled from the Arthur andEltabeth Schlesinger Library. Radcliffe College, this set includes the oral historiesof 100 Black Amencan women who were/are prominent in their professions. Allthose interviewed are over 70 years of age.

Freedom: A Documentary History of Emancipation, 1861-1867. Selections fromthe holdings of the National Archives of the Untted States. Contents includeletters, testimony, affidavits, orders. etc. Sources are from blacks and whites,slaves and freed Individuals. Documents sources include War Department,paymaster general, military branches, etc. Series still in progress.
